60 Shillings? In my day you could buy a house, a car, a wireless radio, a gramophone and still have enough left over to take the family for the annual holiday to Cleethorpes!

I'm in but I'll want a receipt, I post during working hours so I'm claiming it back as a business expense. Make the receipt out for £4 and I'll split the extra quid wid ya?

Of course, might as well round it off to £5 then you have some money in the pot of you need it for future upgrades or whatever

Not allowed to. Business conduct standards 😛

I'm in on one condition.

We need to hear some sort of story about a sick relative who needs the latest in hi-tech gear to improve their quality of life.

Guys,

Purely hypothetical question here but if we were to look to purchase new forum software (currently on free opensource software) which would, in my view, dramatically improve the site. How many people would be willing to give a one off £3 donation to do this? We'll never introduce subscription payments on this site ever. As I say purely hypothetical and we're not going all Koptalk here but to purchase the right software would cost in the region of $285 . This would be additional cost for the owners to cover and I havent discussed it with the other lads yet but just thought I'd throw it out there and ask....
Come on do you even need to ask?

Been here 2 and a half years, mostly as a lurker. But yeah count me in too. Think I can afford 3 quid

*wheels uncle ted to the front*

This is uncle ted. He has a condition called Caput Medusae. It makes his life hell and he struggles to leave his house because of it.
He needs to get his football news from here, as well as his laughs

Please...help uncle ted...

Of course I do. We're upfront and honest on this site Modo. Not like some other forum owners. I just want to make this site one of the best out there - to post on and functionally excellent

Just fuck off the hypothetical bit and post up a paypal account to send it to.

Do it.
Maybe. IF we get enough in this thread to justify (I'm happy to throw in too of course as well as the time) and the other owners agree.

Oxymoron. Put it down as a "Fat Cat Bonus", they're kosher.
