About the registered members being deleted of haven't posted sunny?

Can we send an all user mail telling everyone this? Otherwise we risk losing potential new posters who currently lurk when we send out mailing lists about the new improve forum.
Oh yeah I'll be informing people. Some have been registered for years without a single post !! Not a problem really but, come on, a single post?? Don't be shy....

listen KJ yours and others opinions are more than welcome so keep them coming. I love the look and feel of Xenforo and technology wise its pretty future proof and one of the first to support HTML5. Its also created by two of the original developers who created vbulletin who have obviously left since it was bought out. Customer satisfaction with vbulletin seems to be declining fast. The downside of Xenforo is that, because its brand new, its not as feature rich as more established forum softwares. Migration will be a bigger as well but we can, if we get enough wonga, get the experts in to do this.

The burning question for me is do you take a punt on the sexy new thing on the market which isnt quite there feature wise (yet) but, in my opinion, will be there very soon and will be the new daddy. Or do we stand by the established daddy which currently has more features but is getting on a bit ?

I'd kove peoples views on this

I would rather have Eden Hazard than Stuart Downing.

Zackly... Vbulletin is old overrated and over expensive...

Higher license cost.
Annual fee of 99$ for mobile
higher support cost

Really happy to contribute an amount which accurately reflects the sense of enjoyment I have extracted from this site over the years.

My 14 pence is on it's way via Qantas Freight right now.

Unny joarkin.

Massive well done and thanks to all who have chipped in.

Yep huge well done to all. Hoping to start work on this end of next week ( I'm away working for a few days). Thanks also to Jono@home who's offered to help with new forum theme. Just in the process of some migration prechecks and will need to some tidying so may be some downtime later today.

Ha, I remember it giving you trouble a while back.

I'll do this tomorrow. Haven't been posting much lately and wasn't on the site and forgot guys. I'll get delicious and Aidan to throw in a few quid too.

UPDATE:

We have now purchased the following:

New Hosting standup services: £95.81 ($151.38)
Xenforo software, search optimisation and installation services $288.00
Additional 2 year domain name for development purposes $10

That leaves $119.73 in the pot.

We still need some data migration services and theme sorting out.

Whooo!

Thanks to everyone who has donated, you've been brilliant & I hope you all like the changes when they're implemented!

It's going to take a little time to stand up. Biggest pain the arse is the export/import of users and topics. People may have to use reset their passwords and avatars.

SEO? We'll attract riffraff
Ha. We can always get rid of them .

Lads - migration services for this are complex as the data has to be reformatted twice. This will cost around $165 and the theme we're looking at is about $45. So we're about $100 short so if anyone hasn't contributed yet and would still like to do so feel free !!

This site has always been boss & getting rid of those people who don't fit, usually by a combination of ridicule & abuse.

We're nice like that.

Ok, why isn't the link working? Also, do I need to set up a paypal account to contribute, or can I contribute directly through a credit card?

Thanks everyone who contributed so far. The professional migration services are going to cost 165 Euro. So we're a little short. I've just funded some other stuff out my own pocket so if we can make up the migration money it would help me out.
