Huddersfield FC vs Lizardpool FC Match Thread... *Kicks Can*

Huddersfield are working this exactly as you'd expect.

Pressing us hard when our defenders have it, then if they don't get it dropping back into the two banks that everyone plays against us, & letting us not do much with it.

If they do win it then pump the ball up the pitch high.

It's the template for taking points off & everyone knows it now.

Why we can't come up with a consistent way to break this down is beyond me.

Their keeper looks shite. He's dropped some really shit half shots we've made.

We should be testing him, even from distance & have the front three playing for the second ball when he drops it.

Because we don't have the personnel. It's not a tactics issue

Yay, this week Can should stay. Stay tuned for everyone's opinion next week.

Mane is still off the pace.

His vision for passing & touch is all over the place compared to normal.

I don't know whether he needs a run of games or a kick up the backside by being dropped.

That goal came as a result of playing very very well for about 10 minutes there.

Everything you should do against a well organised, compact defensive-minded side. Played a very high defensive line, kept possession, but did so quickly too. The tempo was high, it was one two touch, and the ball was constantly moving. No stationary ball, no stationary targets. We didn’t shoot for the sake of it, and we kept patient. A lucky goal is the result of continually good play. We deserved that.

We’re having more joy on the left wing. Robertson can actually put in a decent cross. He sucked balls against Swansea but has bounced back for this match.

You can hear Klopp screaming 'quick' everytime we have it. Clearly wants the ball moved quickly.

Slow ball movement against deep-lying defences gets you nowhere - as the last two matches showed us. Eventually you create an opening if you keep moving the opposition around.
