Confirmed #LFC team to face @hjkhelsinki: Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Lovren, Gomez, Henderson, Milner, Coutinho, Ibe, Lallana, Ings

Coutinho as part of a midfield 3 - I reckon we'll see a lot of that this season.

Fuck, I hadn't realised we played Swindon tomorrow, I thought it was Tuesday for some reason. That's a bit mental.

This match is shite.

Seeing as we started last season with no tempo and no pressing game, it would have been nice if we'd shown at least a tiny bit of improvement as the pre-season developed, but no - the same slowish pace and the same horribly predictable sideways passing when we get close to their area.

I was thinking the same thing watching that. We also look equally inept at attacking or defending set pieces. When we set up to defend a corner there seems no real structure or organisation evident.

When even your own TV channel pundits are slagging off the complete inability to defend a corner you're in trouble. Even pointing out the fact that the centre backs never seem to mark the danger men.

Yeah. I'm unsure about this rotating midfield* with Skrtel and Lovren in behind it - seems to leave us vulnerable to any direct pass or someone running from wide.

* seems to be a 1-2 midfield with Henderson and MIlner taking turns in the deeper position.

Nice goal!
Ibe and Milner combining to create it for Origi.

I like Ibe. I think he'll be a better player than Sterling.

Two goals now. Well done Origi, that'll do him the world of good, and Coutinho with the second.

Yay!
To be fair, we've been in full control. Nice to see the goals too.

Oh, and what a bunch of pessimists on this forum 😉

Ha. It's kinda fair cos it is just a pre season game, but the least you usually get is some organisation & shape to look at, but we look just as inept in set pieces as we did last season, & the lack of pressing is shocking.
