Origi did his job too, he did a lot of the donkey work that allowed Firmino and co to play, held the ball up and took the pressure off us. You could see the difference when he went off, they upped the pressure and we had no one up there to work them.

Hate me all you want for asking, but looking at our results since Henderson and Lallana went down, do we really miss them?
Like I've said, get a quicker more dynamic, THINKING, defensive midfielder and we're pretty much sorted in midfield.

The only player we miss is Mané.
He's clearly important in our style of play.

It's called having a squad, there have been plenty of bigger games this season where they have been instrumental.

WTF are WBA on by the way?

Is this their cup final? Fucking tossers with Forster coming outfield. Does Pulis hate us so much?

You call that fun? I need a defibrillator on standby for games like that.

mate, my 9 and 6 year old ask me questions non-stop and are getting so involved ... not to mention my 2.5 year old screaming LIBAPOO every few minutes ...

Can't be more fun that that ... education success + a win ... FUN!

It's not hate, its wishing you THINK before posting.

Origi was great. I was rteally worried when he came off. Can't see Studge holding the ball like that.

I wouldn't change a thing when they come back from injury. Yeah they can both be squad players. I'm all for having a big squad.
Still, during the chaos here when news of Henderson and Lallana being injured was being discussed, one daft poster said and I quote "we'll be fine"...and fine we are.
We can do better than those two.

Relax on Moreno. Most important was that he won the ball when they had everything in Our Box. Studge was offside so couldn't play him. When everything boiling he should have played free Can, but no probs anyway. Most important was he won the ball.
You can't be offside in your own half he's an idiot and should have played Studge in

Agenda much. We can do better than Lucas too, but all of them have played their part this season. I'm not sure why you're taking some personal triumph here over this, Henderson and Lallana have both been good buys and have been a big factor in good form. Now all of a sudden after two hard fought wins, we don't need them. Whatevers.

Superb 3 points
Ming and Firmino superb
Matip, Can and Lucas not far behind

Massive massive result without creating too many clear cut chances

For all the hate he gets Lucas has had a very solid season

Lallana has had a great season, and Hendo was really playing well in the Autumn when we cruised the League. They are more than Squad players, but today their replacements did a fantastic job so lets enjoy!!!

Wijnaaldum and Mignolet MONSTERED the last 10 minutes.

Calmest heads on the pitch.

Mignolet MOTM all day long.
Calm as fuck, owned his box, claimed or punched everything.

Coming from you that's huge praise as I know you were not mad about him. Fair play

What did Moreno do? I missed second half.

Really surprised we won that and the last game. What is different about the defence is that there seems to be a total focus on getting the ball clear of the danger areas - non of that shit about passing it out - just kick it out / punch it out but not try and do fancy shit. It works well just keeping it simple. We do miss the likes of Mane and Lalana as they add a required creativity spark to our team that we lack. The goal we scored was unexpected at best but it became the winner. Also Ming - coming good now and looks focused now.

Ive been singing his praises since the tail end of last season bro. I think hes become a really good dependable keeper, I said he should have played all season and im not that bothered about replacing him.

Moreno won the ball when Foster was stranded in our half through on goal with sturridge left and can right and just one defender. He did what ANYONE would do to be fair and had a pop at the open goal. Problem was hes shit and missed wide right so it makes the decision look balls. It was his right to have a dig, must score it though.

Their goalie came up for a corner We win the ball.

Moreno's running with it, carrying the ball into their half, Sturridge to the left, Can and another Liverpool to the right, one WBA defender back, open goal, their goalie stranded up field.

Moreno opts to shoot early and misses.

  1. Chadli should have scored.
  2. Fake-Kanu had ages to shoot and he shot a tame one right at ming
  3. Phillips' chance in the 81st
Firmino got a touch on the Chadli one so that was never clear chance, The Lidl Costa shit his pants and sidefooted rather than take it on. Only the one on one was a real proper chance.

The other two not for me, well they were chances but not that we allowed to happen they were both hit and hope passes.

Our defending for the last one was the only proper mistakes we made in 94 mins.

I thought we managed the game superbly and really never thought we would drop points

Your harsh on him. He won the ball, kept it and brought over the halfway line. Then Studge goes offside (no keeper in Goal which Studge seem to forget).
Agreed Sturridge wasnt an option. Can was but you cant blame the lad for taking a crack at an open goal.
Poor shot mind you
