HT thoughts:
- West Brom have been the brighter of the two teams - if they had a better striker, Ming may have been called into action.
- It's tough to play a team like this with a Lucas-Gini-Can midfield. They're very good at protecting the back 4, but they lack creativity.
- Origi is isolated ... again ...
- Firmino ... Second straight week with a key goal for the team?
- We need to be a bit more incisive and quick with our passing - especially now when they're going to push for an equalizer.
And Origi should get an assist for sneakily pulling and holding back a defender so Firmino had a bit more daylight for the finishing blow.
Winning a free kick 40 yards from goal against WBA isn't a skill. Both have been abysmal.
Can, Clyne and the Brazilians, including the fake one have all been good. That goal was vital.
Behave. I get its just a thought but its a steaming turd of one.
I think they've been the better team ... Robson should have done better with his chance, and he's been lose to breaking our offside trap once or twice.

On second viewing that flick on by Lucas was terrific. And Milner's free kick delivery has been shit today.

We can hope that he was looking for Lucas and a near post flick on, but who knows... The other set pieces have been poor.
Coutinho and Firmino both had good chances
Yeah, I don't think wba have been bright at all, their biggest threat has been from throw ins and direct passes down the channels, we've been fairly composed and patient.
Lucas is playing out of his skin, he's been our best player in the last couple of games. Him and Can have really helped solidify us for these sort of industrious games. Great assist too.

Turgid first half, with little quality on display from either side. West Brom should have scored, but Chadli couldn't get any contact.
Wijnaldum and Origi anonymous. Matip, Clyne and Firmino the pick of our players, although that's not much of a challenge

Not even close.
While our possession and passing the back and middle third was good our movement and penetration in the rival 3rd was so one paced as it has been so often this season away to the bottom half teams.
Simply not good enough.
Great flick by Lucas and brilliant timing and anticipation from Firmino.

Hopefully West Brom come at us now and leave space for our front three to get between the lines and hurt them.

As Oncy said, it was quite a composed and controlled half. They created some chances from crosses and set pieces as we knew they would. We definetly need to stay focused in the second half, and probably score one more goal as we're bound to concede a shite one.

We're doing a decent job containing them. Our back "5" have largely been solid defensively. Milner has been a bit iffy with his passing, but that's about it.
Wijanldum invisible, Can working hard but he's a bit frustrating. We lack a bit of creativity in midfield.
Origi has been isolated upfront. Can't be too harsh on him. Coutinho and Firmino are having trouble breaking down WBA's back 8 as it seems.
I'll be happy if we keep playing the same way in the 2ND half.
Pulis is looking to hit on the counter and from set pieces.
