Was part of that because back in that time we would only send one of the CBs up and keep one back?

These days we send both in and keep the full backs back but I can barely even recall Henchoz ever being in the box!

Yep that is probably it to be fair. Carra used to go up for corners and stuff. He's got no excuses!

...especially as he got his start in the youth team as a striker (which still amazes me even now!) and moved backwards through the line-up over the course of his career.
