Made a nice chart that compared Gerrard and Henderson at their respective ages, in terms of goals and games played. But for one season when we won the treble, they actually track quite closely.

Forum didn't show the chart properly so fuck it, I'm not going to redo the chart. Just take my word for it that Henderson is boss. 😉

Okay, found the time to redo it. Gerrard had obviously won more things by 23/24 (4 cups - UEFA Cup, 2 x League Cup, 1 FA Cup versus 1 League Cup) and had a solid goalscoring season when he was 20/21. That aside, Gerrard's and Henderson's stats actually track pretty closely, with Henderson actually having a better goals-to-games percentage in the 2 recent seasons:

That's not to say Henderson's the better player or will be as good or better than Gerrard of course. That would be a silly conclusion or inference which only a fool would make. It's interesting though, to see how Henderson compares scoring wise, because despite the complaints that he doesn't score enough - and I do admit he's wasted some gilt-edged chances - he's actually not performing much worse than Gerrard at the same stage of his career (the year at 20/21 aside).
