I'm not saying it should be banned. I'm saying any pejorative ending in 'monkey' should be avoided when speaking to black people. I would've thought that was obvious. Do you disagree?

On the basis of what we heard during those crowdless games during lockdown, there's no way Henderson said anything without loads of expletives in it.

The reactions of the players, the referee speaking to the managers, the referee then taking statements from both players and putting them in his match report. There's only one version that is consistent with those actions, it's not going to be some run of the mill shit like "fucking wanker". The allegation is clearly going to be serious, and the way the rules are worded and have been interpreted by past disciplinary panels, there's no way Henderson will escape a ban here. He can deny it, but the lip readers will testify on behalf of the FA, who will then give some hand wavy explanation that Henderson misremembered his words in the moment, and the lip readers and Gabriel are clear and consistent with each other. There's no way that won't be reported by the media and FA as evidence that they took a stand against racism/discrimination/homophobia or whatever it is.
