I think this signals that Premier League is not the center of the Universe any more. Bundesliga is a better-run, less corrupt and more fan-friendly league than any other league in Europe and now they can finally attract the absolute top coaching talent. I expect more and more top players going to the Bundesliga in the coming years.

As for Guardiola at Bayern, it will be interesting how he will develop Xavi Martinez, among other things. Martinez is a Guardiola-type player and with right coaching could become the centerpiece of this Bayern team for many years.

This has only increased the respect I have for Guardiola as a coach and a person. I would have been cringe-worthy to see him at a nouveau riche English club.
