He's also the major reason Rafa's kept hisjob.
No he's not.
How do you figure?
because other people have been just as responsible for 'keeping rafa in a job'.

CL final - (I wont mention the contributions of several individuals on the way to the final)
gerrard scored the first goal, very important but the likes didi (inspirational) smicer goal plus alonso's pen. djimi clearing off the the line dudeks double save.

fa cup
scores the goal to take us to injury time but there were significate players who ran themselves into the ground in normal and extra time.

and then you have the league where gerrard was scoring for fun, but least be honest here rafa's positioning of gerrard as a forwards is 'the' reason for gerrard filling his boots. its not rocket science he scored more goals as he less defensive duties and was closer to goal.

gerrard did a lot for rafa but equally rafa did a lot for gerrard.

Fair enough but whatever way you want to look as it..you cant deny Gerrard has played the best football of his career under Rafa.
Players tend to play their best football at the age Gerrard was/is when Rafa took over. Hardly Rafa's achievement.

I'd ask the same question if I may?
Rafa's won 2 trophies in 6 years, Gerrard was instrumental in both.

Anyway, I have no problem crediting Rafa with some of Gerrards success; my comment was to Marky's stupid reply to wilko's post.

In all seriousness now Frank, not that I expect you to answer me, why do you hate Gerrard so much? Are you that Kanwar fella again?

Ahh I see. So clearly he's an idiot. I don't get the whole bashing in that thread, though? How was he on a wind up and why was he banned?

That thread's a classic, though. Rafashanks seems like a massive jebb. Did anything happen after the Ijg thing?

I hate missing stuff that goes on on here.

According to Dave Usher on TLW, the rumours are a load of bollocks. And was apperantly started by some West Ham fans.

Unsurprisingly.

Scandalous and baseless rumours fly that Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard has got a 16-year-old pregnant

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

Football message boards are abuzz this Saturday that Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is about to be named and shame in a sex scandal involving a 16-year-old.

It must be stressed that these scandalous rumours are nothing more than fallacious lies at the minute, and unless some hard evidence is produced, there is nothing to suggest that there is any truth in the potentially character-assassinating story.

That said, Football.co.uk today published the details of the rumour on their website.

“There’s a rumour spreading like wildfire on the internet that Steven Gerrard is facing accusations he got a 16-year-old Liverpool girl pregnant. Fan site Redcafe.net report that the News of the World are planning to break the story on Sunday - while some sources are suggesting Gerrard has a court injunction to keep the girl quiet. There are also rumours circulating that Gerrard’s wife Alex Curran has been having an affair with a Derby County player.â€

I suppose by reporting the details of a rumour and stressing that at the moment they are un proven allow them to spread the gossip without the fear of being sued.
Great, innit.

That sounds like Guillem Ballague. It's definitely not true, unless it is.

Apparently Alex Curran has been snapped out in public without her wedding ring. In one of today's papers.

I haven't worn my wedding ring for about five years. Jewellery is shit.

'fallacious lies'. Isn't that a double negative?
It is, the moron probably meant 'salacious'.

what's the difference between gerrard and a grayhound?

the grayhound waits for the hare
16 isn't prepubescent.
Since when does a grayhound wait for a hare?
Perhaps it was injuried?

I'm totally confused by that joke. Is it a joke on the word 'gray'? Is it like an old greyhound or something? Is that why it's waiting? Because it's elderly and has little choice?

I think i know that greyhound. Backed him last week. Didnt come out of the trap and waited for the hare to come round again

Hey Avmenon,

It's not really waiting then is it? That's like saying Nelson Mandela waited on Robben Island.
