Seem like they are so short of cash that they are unable to guarantee the cash for the trial against RBS over the sale fo the club. According to the times they have to cough up 1£ as security for costs of the trial. They have asked for a delay in the trial to be able to establish the money, but the court says no. Either they cough it up now or they can forget about the triel which is scheduled for April.

I really hope they manage to borrow the cash only to loose even more.. I want to see them fried again and again over there mismanagement of the club!!!

I think it would be good if they could find this million because they could drag these other fuckers down and we might finally end up with some non-cunts owning us.

People who like FSG seem to do so simply because they aren't H&G. You're all low expectation having motherfuckers.

I seem to recall having owners who gave a shit. Oh well.

Quite. They've made mistakes, it's pretty obvious they know fuckall about football or indeed the club, but they've spent fairly well. We still spent near £30m in the Summer and we've just spent £12m on Sturridge and are looking to sign at least another in Ince.

So basically the point is, unless we get some rich Arab in, people are never going to be happy. Just as a point of interest, how many people acknowledged the club last week when we spent £12m? I guess when they do stuff like that it's the norm, when they don't do stuff or make mistakes they're lizards.

It depends how you define 'giving a shit'. They've been fairly anonymous in terms of the public eye, but then we all know they know fuck all about the sport, sometimes owners are better staying out of the limelight. United aren't particularly well run according to their fans, the Glazier's stay out the way too, it doesn't seem to be harming them on the pitch.

Anyway, as I said. If we sign Ince we've spent close to £50m over the two transfer windows. Most clubs in the Premiership dream of spending that much.

Spent 12m? They offloaded four boss forwards in the summer and if we're looking to be anywhere near where we were in 2009 we need to replace them... as well as a decent midfielder and a keeper. Being excited about a 12m signing is something Sunderland fans should be getting excited about - not a club that made 77m in commercial revenue last year.

People want to see the club spend and spend. Yet the two sets of owners that put the most money into the club for spending are hated.

I had a feeling the 77m commercial revenue would be raised despite it having no source or understanding of what makes it up.

We lost three players who wanted to go and were at the tail end of their careers. We've brought in two attackers (three for all of Assaidi's worth to us) and the manager 'chose' to bring in a midfielder. Of course we need to replace a few players, we knew that when we finished where we did under Rafa, we knew that when we sold Torres and pissed the money up the wall.

"Being excited about a 12m signing is something Sunderland fans should be getting excited about - not a club that made 77m in commercial revenue last year." - If we sign Ince we'll have spent near £50 since the Summer and we've got some high earners off the books. It takes time. I'm not getting excited about £12m, we've spent money since they arrived, and most of it poorly thanks to inept workings in the transfer market.

Like I said, unless they're some rich Arab, some fans don't want to know. How many other clubs in the Premiership have spent that much over the two windows? Not many I'd wager.

Well 50m is from the shirt deal and the shirt sponsor. 7m comes from carlsberg's association and the other will be made up of all the other brands that sponsor us.

Fair play to the lizards, they've massively increased that figure. We used to only get a combined 16m off Adidas and Carlsberg and now we get 57m from Warrior, SC and carlsberg.

And we've spent most of it, so what's the deal? No one is saying they're the perfect owners, they're just not half as shite as made out and people are being selective about what credit they do get. Saying we need this and that is unrealistic for most clubs unless your Chelsea or City, it takes time to rebuild, especially when most of the money we've spent in recent years has been pissed away.

It was mainly borrowed money though with a high rate of interest we couldn't really afford to pay back. You know, the money they borrowed against the club that they said they'd never do

Off the top of my head, City, United, Chelsea and Spurs all outspent us and were all already ahead of us.

I doubt any of them massively increased sponsorship deals to the rate we have either.

Or....maybe, just maybe...they're treading water until this court case is finally put to bed and they'll sell us on for a tidy profit

Arsenal are also now in a position to increase their spending

Three of whom have owners who've had the benefit of pumping excessive amounts of money in over several years. We were already playing catch up when the lizards arrived.

Nope. G&H put in 150m that they borrowed personally - nothing to do with the club. It's that 150m that they're suing for now. That money covered the interest + overspending on players.

FSG put in 30m of their own money last year for transfer spending.

OK. Which money covered the interest and overspending?

If you're happy with the extent of their ambition then fine, there's no point debating it further. I'm not. They're only biding time till they sell us.

...to someone who doesn't rip heart and soul out of the club, I might add.

They'll sell to the highest bidder... but that *should* be wicked.

There's not a lot of Liverpoolness left in Liverpool FC and if we're going to be owned by people who don't know shit from another continent they may as well be mega wealthy bastards who will use us as an expression of ego.

I never said I'm happy with them, I think you're using the money spent as a stick to beat them with when by and large, they've spent as well as could be expected in the current climate and considering that they never were ultra-rich owners.

In the current climate... Have I just been.... Osborned? Is that a verb now?
