Are you sure? Without checking figures I reckon spurs have spent quite a bit on transfers & have a high wage bill too.

Am I missing something here, they dont sign star players always get their pound of flesh when they sell a player and seem to have a fairly rigid wage structure. Dont they have one of the lowest wage bills in the top half of the league?

Tbh I've never felt that Spurs have been that effective, not really. They've had a great squad for years now and only once got CL and never challenged for the title. I think their squad or at least spending power has been as good as ours was under Houllier and Benitez, so IMO they probably should've done better than they have.

What they've done is spend a reasonable amount of money reasonably well. That's been enough to propel them up the table because we've spent a decent amount really terribly.

They haven't had a great squad and they haven't had the resources to challenge for the title. I think under the circumstances they've done okay given where they started.
