I'm not so sure about City. We have players coming back and at least some CBs that can let Hendo or Fabs play in their normal positions - that strengthens the team. For 70 mins or whatever it was (at 1-1) we looked the more likely to win it, play like that over two legs and we'd be in with a very good chance. I don't feel City are that far ahead of us (if at all) when we have players returning.
I wouldn't want to be playing Bayern, PSG or AM if I'm honest, and maybe not even Juve with Ronaldo rejuvenated and scoring ... and he loves the CL.

You can't compare Milner to Ronaldo; Milner never won games single-handed for over a decade. Ronaldo is one of the 3 best players I've ever seen BUT he is now playing at a level about 40% of his peak. He is still a threat but not one that top teams should worry about. I watched a lot of the Juve game last night and he was a passenger for most of the game.
I think if we’re replacing Mane, it would be Mbappe, but to replace Firmino or Salah - definitely Haaland. The thing we’re losing so much when Firmino isn’t playing (or isn’t playing well) is the ability to hold up the ball - that’s not really Mbappe’s game, he’s more of a winger/striker in Thierry Henry mould. And Haaland isn’t just holding up the ball - he’s a fucking tank, a high-speed one! I think a front 3 of Mane-Haaland-Jota/Elliott would be pretty amazing if that ever happens.
We’re not club who will sign the 2 most desirable forwards in world football - no way. But I think we will try for both and hopefully get one of them.
