I thought Gomez was behind Van Dijk in terms of recovery/availabilityIt's 7 weeks until the quarter finals so hopefully we'll have a fully fit Fabinho, Jota and Gomez.

He's been out on the training pitch..... Learning to steer his wheelchair between cones.I thought Gomez was behind Van Dijk in terms of recovery/availability
Shit! Is he? For some reason I thought he was closer to fitness! We're fucked!I thought Gomez was behind Van Dijk in terms of recovery/availability
I'm not so sure about City. We have players coming back and at least some CBs that can let Hendo or Fabs play in their normal positions - that strengthens the team. For 70 mins or whatever it was (at 1-1) we looked the more likely to win it, play like that over two legs and we'd be in with a very good chance. I don't feel City are that far ahead of us (if at all) when we have players returning. It's 7 weeks until the quarter finals so hopefully we'll have a fully fit Fabinho, Jota and Gomez.
Still, without Van Dijk, I can't see us progressing to the final.
It's 10 weeks to the semi final, if there's an outside chance that we can stay in the competition until then and IF Van Dijk can recover then we will win the CL again.
Last season, before the knockout draw, I said that the one team we needed to avoid was Atletico, we needed a team who would attack us and we could pick them off.
Completely different this season, we need a cautious team who won't bomb forward at every opportunity against our weakened defence. If there are no surprise results then I reckon Juventus will be the best draw for us in the next round................if we can see off Leipzig of course. City, Munich or PSG would put us out unless we have Van Dijk.
He is. However the club have kept both on the CL roster .. they clearly know something they aren't saying (conspiracy theory #372).I thought Gomez was behind Van Dijk in terms of recovery/availability
Don’t be daft Fabinho and Kabak will have them in their pockets. Robertson will kick Neymar and Trent will show Mbappe how to use his celebration properly when he thumps one into the bottom corner.Haha ! Yeah Neymar and M'Bappe versus our current CBs ... there'd be less blood in a slaughterhouse.
If we can just avoid PSG, Bayern, City, AM, Juve & Sevilla I think we'll be alright.
I actually think we’d batter PSG. I’d like to avoid City until we are fully back.
I'm sorry but if we can't beat Juve with a 36 year old Ronaldo then we don't deserve to be anywhere near the final.I'm not so sure about City. I wouldn't want to be playing Bayern, PSG or AM if I'm honest, and maybe not even Juve with Ronaldo rejuvenated and scoring ... and he loves the CL.
16 goals in 18 matches in Serie A (plus 4 goals - inc. 2 vs Barca - and 1 assist in 4 CL games and another 3 in 5 Italian Cup games) and Infogol gives him an average rating of 8.43 for those games. Forget his age. Bet you don't say that about Millie !I'm sorry but if we can't beat Juve with a 36 year old Ronaldo then we don't deserve to be anywhere near the final.
You'd leave Mbappe on the bench?Haaland is just insane. 2 goals scored and an assist.
I would love to sign him.
Mane Haaland Salah
Yikes!
You'd leave Mbappe on the bench?
If we had a choice, would folks take Haaland over Mbappe? I really don’t know at this point.
Those players need service and Neymar is easily put off his game. I wouldn’t be surprised to see us sit deep and play counter attacking football against them. Reduce the space behind our back 4.Please explain how our current CBs - That's any two of Hendo, Fabinho, Davis, Kabak or Williams - marking Neymar and M'Bappe fills you with so much confidence that you'd publicly declare that we'd "batter" PSG.
Is this really a question? If we had a choice, would folks take Haaland over Mbappe? I really don’t know at this point.
The question mark he used should hopefully help you in the matter. Is this really a question?
You can't compare Milner to Ronaldo; Milner never won games single-handed for over a decade. Ronaldo is one of the 3 best players I've ever seen BUT he is now playing at a level about 40% of his peak. He is still a threat but not one that top teams should worry about. I watched a lot of the Juve game last night and he was a passenger for most of the game.16 goals in 18 matches in Serie A (plus 4 goals - inc. 2 vs Barca - and 1 assist in 4 CL games and another 3 in 5 Italian Cup games) and Infogol gives him an average rating of 8.43 for those games. We probably need Haaland more than Mbappe but in terms of style I prefer players like Mbappe.
It'd be really interesting to see Salah and an out and out striker like Haaland in the same team.
Is it possible to wish for both?
The question mark he used should hopefully help you in the matter.
We won't try for either. Just wishful thinking to believe otherwise. We’re not club who will sign the 2 most desirable forwards in world football - no way. But I think we will try for both and hopefully get one of them.

And only one of those can afford him!I know, it was mere a joke and wishful thinking. I think you are correct and we will try for both. But who will be more suited for us or which of them would be the best signing is very difficult to even decide.
According to the Le Parisien, the latest report is that the 4 clubs that are after Mbappe are Liverpool, City, Juventus and Real Madrid.
