Which is also why there should be a panel. It makes so much sense.

If all 3 think it should be reversed. Then it's clear and obvious.

If they don't all agree then the ref can be called over and he can stick with the on field decision etc.

Yeah, I like this idea. Will give retired refs and players something to do too.
 
They just need to get rid of "clear & obvious" which is too subjective. Let VAR look at incidents and if the ref got it wrong change it. Don't shame the ref for getting it wrong, or try to protect him, just let the facts decide and accept that on field referees are fallible

But to do this you have to accept Refs are human.

They are not, they’ll eat their own first born given half the chance.
