I'd play the exact same team that played against Man U. Our next game is against Newcastle 4 days later. Might save the rotating for that one.

Becker

Clyne
Lovren
Van Dijk
Robbo

Fabinho
Wijnaldum
Keita

Mane
Firmino
Salah

This could be one of those game...I really hope it's not

Liverpool of any other year would seemingly fall flat following a big win like yesterday's , I guess this is a litmus test for our current side.

Yeah I'd probably go with the same side , possibly swapping keita out for shaqiri

Yeah, play the same team. Maybe Milner at RB and then Clyne against Newcastle

I would be tempted to switch Milner with Gini - Gini could use some rotating to keep him fresh.
Continue with Fabinho and Keita - both haven't played much this year.
Sit Bobby and replace with Shaq.

Swap Clyne for Milner, and possibly Gini with Hendo and Keita for Shaq.

Bobby can rest against Newcastle with Studge coming in. I’d like to see that Studge - Keita combo again.

I'd leave Clyne at RB because he is a RB, but mostly because he needs as much game time as possible.

I'm not into the idea that Shaq is a great impact sub. We'd have scored about eight yesterday if he'd started. He should start all the time.
Can't argue with that

His movement and vision would have eviscerated then yesterday

Wolves I think will be a much harder team to beat than Man Utd because we are playing a) away b) to a team that wants to play for a manager c) a team filled with confidence after recording 3 straight wins.

If we aren't careful this could be a banana skin of a fixture.

Nah, I think he needs to be carefully matched now coming back from injury after such a lengthy lay off.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Hendo or Millie in for Gini and Shaq in for Naby. I think Naby would work well against a fluid team like Wolves, more spaces to run in to.

I'd keep the back 5 and the front 3 the same. Rotate a bit for Newcastle but nothing wholescale needed.

Wolves are buoyant and at home, hence they'll attack us.

Ergo we'll kill them on the counter.

1-4

Wolves are just one point behind United in 7th with three wins on the bounce and no significant injuries. They’re at home too.

Full strength team required, they won’t be as easy as the Scum were.

I do not think Klopp will play Hendo and Fabs in the same XI unless Fabs is at CB or RB.

wolves could be a banana skin, should not be underestimated.

Agreed totally - we are talking about a team that have beaten Chelsea, drawn with City, Arsenal, Man United and narrowly lost to Spurs at home. This is a team that play football both creatively, and love to pass between the lines. I consider them a slower version of Man City. If anything we need to raise our game against this lot more than anything, they are capable of beating us if we drop a level in our approach. That guy Traore - if he plays scares the shit out of me with his pace, and he seems to have improved since his days at Middlesbrough. We really need to own them before they get into the passing groove.

Difficult choices for this one but I reckon we will play the same midfield - with maybe either Milner replacing one of Keita or Gini. The rest of the team should stay the same and Clyne should definitely start.

We should go back to last year's 4-3-3 for this. Wolves play a 3-4-3 with a possession-style game. Our pressing 4-3-3 formation is ideally suited to beat that.

Tricky game with all to loose. Wolves are in good form and they will give us a good run for the points here. But we have a good rest before the game and should be fit and full of confidence ourselves.

They have a weird record. Great results vs Chelsea, Arsenal, City & United but losses to Brighton, Huddersfield & Cardiff. To me it suggests they'll be well up for the battle, but could also be completely outplayed if we go out as we know we can.

They also lost at home 0-2 to Watford, and drew 2-2 with a 10-man Everton. They're evidently beatable. So let's beat them already!

Sounds like they know how to sit back and nick a goal on the counter or a set-piece against bigger teams, but struggle more to run the play.

Exactly why this game worries me. This is a team that for some reasons get motivated when they play top teams.

It's kind of the opposite, actually. They are a technically and tactically excellent team playing continental-style football, but haven't yet figured out how to apply this against the EPL standard mid and lower table teams; they are the ones getting hit on the counter. When playing against the big dogs, they are liberated by not having to control the play and their quality in midfield and on the counter helped them to some great results.

Like dmishra said earlier, our 4-3-3 should be the formation of choice and potent counter to their style. But I think our recent 4-2-3-1 can also do the job. Can see Henderson coming in for Gini as the only change, forming a double pivot with Fab with Keita powering through their lines and the front three being a menace against their back three.

Sounds like us a couple of years ago. I'm excited for this though - big session on the beers in the pub for sure.
