My point was and is simple enough even for someone as pig headed as you to get.

So many posters (and you have been the main offender) have been banging on about fine lines and a lack of luck all season long. When does it stop? When do we put our hands up and say we aren't good enough and haven't been all season long Utd aside where everyone stepped up.

Every single team in the league can sight games where they were unlucky to drop points, yet with us it seems like its a reasonable excuse. Is it F*ck. We have been shambolic in defence, midfield and out wide this year and only for the heroics of Torres we would have dropped even more points. It's sad indictment when our best player has been half injured for the season and that must reflect on the motivational skills of the management team.

Rafa has gambled a hell of look this season and its all pretty much backfired.

As for your Brendan comment well its usually the case where anything I say gets ignored or ridiculed until a more respected poster makes the same comment later.

ie. When a gifted naturally great footballer like Torres who needs little motivation can out perform an entire squad of fully fit players it reflects badly on Rafa and co that they can't seem to get anything out of the rest of the squad.

Almost every player bar the very best pro's ie Reina Torres Yossi are performing below bar and have been all season. It shows that Rafa is f*cking useless and lifting his players and getting a response on any sort of a consistence basis.

Everyone lifts themselves for games like Utd, if you need a manager to lift you for those games you shouldn't be a footballer. Its the games like Fulham away, Suderland, Spurs etc that Rafa should be earning his salt and he's not.

Ah but sure its all fine lines.

What a crock of shit.

And as a few have us have pointed out over time - his distribution of the ball for someone lauded as being such a 'cultured, ball player' is frankly fucking awful at times.

As for Masherano, well in the first post in this thread I called him 'man of the match'. I'm good like that, objective y'see. There's a marked difference in being able to evaluate a player's performance, and flip-flopping about between opinions on a fucking weekly basis.

I can't be arsed reading the whole thread but we weren't unlucky. We were wasteful and guilty of poor finishing. That's not down to luck it's down to having shit players. The only piece of poor luck we had was the keepers save from Lucas.

a) the rest of the league were rubbish
b) the players aren't as bad as suggested
c) the team was carried by alonso, gerrard and torres (the latter two being injuried for periods in the season).
