Financial Fair Play

That's way harsher than I was expecting. If it survives an appeal process (is there one?) then it's a step in the right direction.

It seems the initial judgement is open to negotiation with the club, but if they fail to agree a compromise then it goes back to Uefa for a new decision which can't then be appealed, and which would almost certainly be harsher.

I actually think UEFA should mind their own business, and the owners of Man City, and PSG should use this as a means to sue UEFA. What the f*ck is fair play ? - fact is they have the money and backers to do really well. There should be no salary cap, and there should be none of this. Can you imagine UEFA doing this to Real Madrid ? - no of course not. This is just another way to ensure that the best players end up at clubs like Real Madrid. Fuck UEFA, and 60Million fine ? - the only reason they are imposing that fine is because they know that those clubs are backed up by oil money. Why not also fine Real Madrid who are effectively a state sponsored club ?

Huh?

Such a financial penalty Arab or not is massive. Uefa are not the fca , the figure is way too big a fine.

From the very first minute FFP looked like an attempt to line UEFA coffers Witt some cash. This just about confirms it. They need to state clearly what the fines will be used for. There has to be some accountability.

It's not just 8 homegrown.

It has to be 4 club trained, i.e. trained as a youngster with Man City, and 4 association trained, i.e. trained in England/Wales with any club as a youngster.

E.g., Hart, Milner, Clichy, Rodwell, Lescott (assuming they stay) will actually count as 4 association players + 1 'foreigner.

They only have Richards and Boyata as club trained.

Effectively, they need to find 4 players who played in Man City youth teams. They could have a squad of only 17 if they can't find any.

Hmm, I don't know what the gravity of the violation is, but objectively speaking, it does seem punitive and not a complete piss-take that we're so used to the FA dishing out.

Yes I agree - regardless of whether you agree with the rules or not, fair play to UEFA for actually trying to give them some teeth rather than just utterances of disapproval. The fact they revalued PSG's sponsorship deal with Qatar to fair market value is a pleasant surprise and totally out of character.

sell them sturridge for 100 million

I dont understand how chelski have dodged it over the 3 accounting periods?

This year they spent 40mill net on transfers
Last year 73mill net
Year before that 58mill net

Plus massive wages and manager pay offs. Dodged FFP my arse.

Happy with these sanctions. And also with UEFA flexing its muscles on Barca for its youth team shenanigans. It at least shows they are wanting to stop some of the aspects of the game which are getting out of hand.
