After foolishly watching an Alonso tribute video and reading the Hyypia thread, i got thinking, who's my favourite liverpool player of all time? Alonso for me, joined us just when I really started following Liverpool religiously, such an amazing player, what I'd give for him to still be here, how about you, who's your favourite?

Zod.

It's going to be an age related thing isn't it ? Whoever you liked in your early teens is going to be the one.

For me that's Fowler.

Using that logic, we can expect Vlad to nominate Albert Stubbins. 🙂

Hansen is probably my 'favourite' player ever.
Other players who i have LOVED
Barnes
Mcmahon
Whelan
Nicol
Dalglish
Henchoz
Hyppia
Hamman
Gerrard
Reina
Berger
Riise
Mcallister
Fowler
Aldridge
Kennedy

Thats about it for my absolute favourites. But Hansen is probably number 1.

Gerrard then Fowler. I started going the match at the end of Rush's career so I missed 90% of his goals. Owen and McManaman just didn't do it for me, and Torres burnt his bridges. He could have been right up there!

Kenny, Kenny, Kenny. Then Barnes. Then SG. Then Souness. Then Jocky Hansen. Then Sami.

Bizarre, but Markus Babbel.

I was playing RB at the time when i was a little un and he became my idol.

Steve Finnan was a great replacement, loved them both.

From yesteryear loved Rush, but remember Hansen, Hughes, Dalglish, Keegan, Barnes, Grobelaar, and even Clemence with great fondness. More recently, and for the best part of a decade, Carra and Gerrard both epitomize Liverpool for me.

Not quite. I was in my early twenties when we signed Kenny, and at first I thought it was a mistake, which shows what I knew then.

I think you have just discredited everything you've ever posted.

Barnes
God
Kenny
Gerrard
Carra
Sami

In that order. Kenny would probably have been top, but I didn't get to see him play as much as I did the rest.

Have to agree.

I'm now starting to doubt whether Hayden Mullins will become an England regular.
