FA Cup semi final - Liverpool v Everton

Oh we're fucked:

The clubs (Everton and Liverpool) have met four times in the semi-finals with Liverpool winning the last three - the Reds coming out on top in 1950, 1971 and 1977. Liverpool went on to lose the final each time.

This season Liverpool were drawn to play all four rounds at home. The two occasions when that happened previously were in 1977 and 1971 - and like this year they met Everton in the semi-final.

Not entirely. We obviously will use these stats to win the semi. However, it is six years between 77 and 71. And six years ago we were also in the final, and we won. Hence we broke that jinx already and will have another two easy afternoons at Wembley this spring... God I love stats!!!

Would make sense for Kuyt to play in that case as he does a decent job covering back.

Oh Jesus not this rubbish again, for one Johnson has barely played in the last two months to have been a liability, and two he's not a liability. When will people get over this old chestnut.

He had a shocker against Blackburn IMO. I hope i'm proved wrong.
 
I think in this game we will either give them a good thrashing or they will give us one. I don't think its going to be a close thing, and I can see someone or two getting sent off.
 
somone with inside news on the team has let slip that carra starts. ffs!!
I guess that either means johnson isn't trusted to start given his injuries or enrique isn't trusted to start given his recent form.

another thing to consider I guess is extra time. personally I would have gone with the back line of johnson, agger, skrtel and enrique and then looked to take off the players who have recently been injured if they tired.
 
Tbf Carra helped us keep a clean sheet at home last time we beat them.
However they rested their best players in that game.
I really hope Carra doesn't start. I've been so sure of us winning lately but if he starts ahead of Agger, I really don't know.
Criminal to keep Agger on the bench.

That back-line would be my pick too.Extra time is quite likely I think.Would I rather see Agger or Carra coming on in extra time?Agger I think.

possibly, but he certainly wont start which seems almost criminal after his brace.
there is a shocking lack of goals this season and it's a pity the two biggest goal threats (bellamy and maxi) for one reason or another have hardly started.
