We need the Greek in the team to combat that little cunt Cahill in the air. Along with Jones at Stoke, he's the best in the Premiership at heading the ball.

Lucas was abysmal against Blackpool and should be benched. Ditto Poulsen.

Maxi plays well at Anfield so he gets a recall.

We're shit. They're shit. Whoever is less shit will win.

Gerrard is out but so is Cahil so that is fair enough. We better lift it for the derby.

Kelly at RB, Fab at LB. Johnson on the right, Cole on the left. Lucas and Raul in the middle. Torres and Kuyt up top.

Babel for his 'impact' off the bench.

Don't know about throwing him in from the start for the Derby. He looks the type that could get too pumped up for a game like this and end up getting himself sent off.

Saying that though it would be nice to watch someone smash into a few tackles having watched the two dopes we had ambling around the middle of the park tonight

I fear you're right. It could be messy.
 
I would normally be very confident that a derby, at Anfield, under Kenny would be a victory.

But without Gerrard, our team is capable of losing any game.
 
Everton will smell blood - and are always well up for it anyways - so will put a lot of pressure on our midfield who are generally pretty weak. I'd go with three in the middle again in an attempt to try and give us some presence.

Heard that one a few times this season from a few people. Winning this one will mean dick. We need a solid run of 3 or 4 games.

Teams aren't scared to come to Anfield anymore, least of all, Everton.

But you're right there's been a few games we should have kicked on from - Chelsea for instance
 
I'd go for something like this:

JOHNSON...........KELLY.........AGGER..............AURELIO

...........................POULSEN or LUCAS.........................

COLE............................RAUL..............................MAXI

.......................PACHECO..........TORRES......................

Give Torres a partner who's actually capable of playing football and who's got good, fast and tricky feet as well.

If Cole's out move Johnson upfield and place Skrtel or Kyrgiakos alongside Agger and move Kelly out on the right.

We need a team much better at retaining possession than the one last night did and Kuyt (on current form) and Jova (on current talent) needs to be dropped.

a) Maxi is better on the right. So switch Cole & Maxi.
b) Johnson cannot defend - I'd rather have Kelly there, and Skrtel in the middle. Kelly still needs more time at RB before he can be expected to handle the CB position comfortably.
c) Pacheco would struggle in this sort of game but I'd give him a go ... Kuyt shouldn't be on the pitch.
