Hard to be certain how much was down to our improvement and how much down to Everton being shit

could have been very different, Tarkowski’s header could have gone in and Davis could have scored that sitter
Tarkowski got above both Fab and Gakpo for the corner.

Trent was in no man's land for Davis'.

Much improved but a better team would have punished us.

Had one of my rare trips to the match tonight. Glad I did, obviously.

I know Everton are shit but we were good. Best I have seen us for a long while.

Bajcetic was very good indeed. If he isn’t first choice already, he will be soon.

Nunez also looked very good to me.

I didn’t think much of Gakpo in the first half, but it was noticeable that in the second half, once he had a bit of confidence in him, he was actually getting the ball more often, running with it, trying things. Good to see. Hopefully he carries that on.

We’re still not at our best obviously, and I take the point that a better team probably would have punished our errors better than Everton could, but at least there are things to be positive about for a change.

Nice to see some bite in the team. Fire them up with those arguments

also some run and pass by Nunez for that first goal. Brilliant stuff

Salah said Bajcetic was “possibly our best player” since he came in the team - quite a vote of confidence. Bajcetic also mentioned this was a new position for him (LCM) and he was almost surprised it felt so natural. Let’s not forget that he originally started as a centre-back!
Although actually Klopp said as an 8. Stevie overtones.

I'm honestly still shocked at how much better looked last night , the starting xi played with some purpose , speed and thought we've not seen in literally fucking months.

We played against a dross side and despite them goosing atleast 2 good opportunities the anxiety was at record lows for the season.

If we can get 6 points from palace and Newcastle, I'll start to believe...in fourth

That would also suggest that Darwin doing peak Mane things is a problem - or we need to get the ball to him as much as we do Salah.

The team has much better shape like this.

Here’s the question - Thiago or Henderson to partner Badger Tits if both are fit?
I don't think either could maintain form for a run of games.

Agree Trent was in no mans land. However Lucky or something he worked on.. he got himself between Davis and the goal meaning it was a difficult header in the end go squeeze in.

It's actually quite satisfying to see... I think part of the reason he's doing so well is that he isn't trying to force anything, just playing the natural game and it's working
