I mostly feel sorry for the young fans who'll be supporting The Liverpool Redbirds in the KFC Anfield Stadium in the near future.
Is Mbappe or Haaland to us, still on?
yeah unless Uefa start kicking teams out. Cause I'm not sure if the new tournament is going to be played this yearDoes top 4 still matter?
I have one question that it seems nobody else has the balls to ask... 😉
If this is a European "SUPER" League, then why the blinkin' flip are Qatar Citeh, Arsenal and Spurs included in it? Don't they have one 1980s UEFA Cup between them, ever?!?
I read that the clubs who sign up to the ESL will be excluded from all domestic and UEFA competitions next year. It’s not like these clubs were looking for a new competition to play in anyway right?

If City and Arsenal won't in, then the Super League would fail instantly
I was being silly, mate... But now, a genuine question: City, I understand, but Arsenal..? Seriously? In a league that would include these names, you think THEY'RE essential? If the proposed league could exist without Bayern and PSG, why are the arse so important?
Not arguing... Genuinely interested in where you're coming from.
Well, speaking as one of these foreigneras who pays TV money to watch football,
I'm already looking for a new team to support if this goes through. Maybe Leicester, Norwich or Southampton.
If any of the traditional Big Six were left behind, I suspect most fans would gravitate towards them. Fwiw there are more Arsenal fans in Asia than City fans, in pretty sure of that.
Ok, so you're just telling me your thoughts, not anything based on financial data, etc..? Again, not picking a fight, just curious... I would have thought that, as successful as they've been since they were bought by Qatar, City are FAR more influential on a global scale than Arsenal, especially with new, recent fans.
Also, you're looking for a new team? As opposed to simply not watching anymore, or cheering for a different team in a different country..? Interesting. And I doubt ANY non "big six" fans would suddenly start liking them, if they don't so this. They'd just hate them less than those who do.
When this gets to the top 20 teams from all the major leagues their cups won't we worth tuppence.UEFA will ban teams from the European comps, so that will be a major obstacle for this to happen.
Lets hope it doesnt, as it will be the end of football.
When non-participation comes at a huge financial loss or being unable to cover the investment in players (and players wages and transfer fees are at the heart of this) then it's understandable for PL clubs. Is it just a negotiating tactic to get more say in the proposed changes to the Champions League?
I'd say an issue for English teams is that the league is so competitive there is no guarantees that they will always qualify.
In the current proposals the two highest ranked teams in Europe not to qualify via their league positions get invited in.
That would mean that in this current season Chelsea and Liverpool would not have to finish in the top four to be in next season's competition.
I thought that the "big clubs" were pushing for more exemptions for automatic qualification to safe guard their participation.
Maybe. On the other hand once it's all settled down watching Liverpool vs a top team from another country every week (for the average armchair fan) may be more appetising than say watching Burnley.I reckon a huge number of people will share that reaction. This could end up bursting football's bubble completely.
I might start following Leeds, or Dortmund, or just give it all up and watch floor ball.
I guess my point is follow sports for the emotion, the history, and the rivalry and without the fans you have no money. And that's why you need Arsenal and Spurs.
