No European club pays that, nor do they pay 35m for Madueke, 40m for MGW, Gordon, Colwill etc because they don’t buy into the hype like we seem to do.
Who is talking about European clubs? I've got no issues selling him to Man City if they pay the most.

Man City coming after Curtis Jones? Oh yeah 😀😀
I didn't say that.. If the likes of Southampton can think Lavia is worth £50m.. Then using that matrics CJ is worth just as much. Chelsea paid] £105m for Enzo, man United paid £90m for Antonio.. The markets fucked, it's just that our fans seem to always under value our players

It's not about undervaluing but you can't always look to what Utd and Chelsea spend and go from that. We paid £35m for MacAllister.....is Jones worth more than him or did we just find a good deal?

These 2 clubs in particular have more money than sense so it's only fitting they'd overspend on what players are actually worth......they do it knowingly and without a care in the world

Nobody believes or believed Anthony was double was Gakpo/Diaz was, nobody believes or believed Enzo was quadruple what Spurs paid for Bentancur for example.

So to answer your original question, no Jones is not worth £50m......not yet at least.

It's a sellers market. Teams can now say, "we dare you to bid on one of our players" and get basically what they asked for because for some reason the interested parties don't go "fuck off" like they used to do. Also other transfers are used to set a reference price, so the fees are getting more and more exorbitant.

I'm elated Curtis had a strong tournament after his recent performances for us. He'll come back motivated and ready for a challenge. Its actually nice to have options for midfield (albeit in the more advanced roles)

Its actually nice to have Thank fuck we didn’t sell everyone and still have some options for midfield (albeit in the more advanced roles ones that are likely to be fucked as well)

Fixed.

No idea what it means, except that whichever of our loons says that Curtis is generational may be right.

Come to think of it, I have no idea what "generational" means either ...

I think generational is somewhere between being in our Best XI and World Class.

Although, it’s possible that for Moron, “generational” is something he likes to put in ham sandwiches.

Like I said before "generational" talents are players like Macca, Fowler, Owen, Gerrard and Trent.

Then you have tier 2, Carra, Suso, Neco, Matteo

Tier 3: Spearing, Warnock, Kelly etc.

Looking at our current squad, I say there's only one potentially "generational' talent, not counting Trent obviously, and that's Bajetic.

It’s the nonsense used to describe Bellingham and why we ought to have broken the bank to get him.

Never seen Carra so disrespected tbh. Him and Neco in the same tier??? Are you out your god damn bleeding mind Modo?? Svara mig!!!!!!!!!!

And theyn you have the tier above "generational" - too good to play for us; which is solely occupied by Yesil

I will never ever call Carragher a generational talent. If it makes you happy I'll make a separate tier for Carra.

Yeah, I've never been a big fan and it's not really a surprise for those who've been around since the Koptalk days, lol.

Carra shows what application and hard work gets you. He probably does belong in tier 2, but his passion and dedication pushes him to the next tier.

I agree he's not generational but to put him in the same bracket as any of those guys really......should be common sense.

He was still a special player for us, him and Stevie led us through our success during the 00s.

I was watching this yesterday:

Fast forward to 11.22

Who else got Henry flashbacks? [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

I honestly did it to wind people up. I knew some would react hahahaha.
Still wouldn't have him in tier 1.
But maybe tier 2 by himself.

I don't eat ham sandwiches,

but 'generational' means someone special that we ordinarily would not have in our team, in Curtis's case :-

1) Hardly ever loses the ball when pressed. Not the type of player an opposition team would take on one-on-one.
2) Has a high level of average dribbling ability and technical skill level on the ball, including good passing range at different angles.
3) Can be an effective goal-scorer in the final third when needed.

In all three aspects above - I think he is better than a Jude, and Trent, plus his physical size together with his ball skills make him a very rare type of player, You don't get many 6ft1 players that have such ability on the ball. The only thing that will prevent him from an upward trajectory in world football are:

a) Klopp's use of him and restraining his full potential.
b) His injury record - which I hope was all down to youth and unlucky incidents.

Ha. To be fair, I'm surprised you included him at all! You must be warming to him a bit

Is it though when you look at the passes he makes? He makes very few long passes and sticks to the obvious short ones. It means we hold the ball well that's it.

The clip doesn't show all the passes but it does seem most of them were made with all the time in the world, almost walking pace.
