They were all getting their knickers in a twist on talk sport earlier after supposedly getting "information about the team tomorrow. They think we'll be set-up like this...

Good to see Defoe in for Heskey, but Milner on the right? Gerrard on the left again? No Joe Cole again?

They also had a report saying the pitch is the worst so far in the tournament.

Predictions?

Souness reckons the problem with England was that their initial prep in South Africa was at altitude (as was the first game) and that causes some problems when you're playing at a normal level - he reckons though that England will be over that and in peak condition for the Slovenia game.

So I'm going for 4-0 to England.

I like milner and I like defoe also, good pace upfront always helps, I hate Gerrard on the left! surely swap that for Milner and it's a much more attacking team? Either way it's shit or bust so let's see what happens .... So how come this is supposed to be the team anyway? Bit early no?

Fuck knows wy everyone is painting Joe Cole as some sort of saviour. He hasnt bloody played all season and if he was that good, Ancelotti would be keeping him.

He's been one of our most consistent performers when he's played, and he provides a creative spark that we desperately lack when he's absent. Of course, he'd need the rest of the team to step up too, but considering the alternatives it's almost absurd that he hasn't been given a shot.

And I expect Ancelotti would love to keep him at Chelsea. The reason he isn't is because of his recent injury record. Any player who spends several months on the sidelines at Chelsea and then requests a pay rise is unlikely to be retained.
