Determination of Harvey Elliott

Trouble with dislocation injuries like this, is that it becomes far more probable to reoccur. Not saying that it will - but it would not surprise me if he suffers from this type of injury repeatedly in his career. Wishing him all the luck in the world though.

He’s a Dreamie post away from retiring from all footballing activity for ever!!!

I’m sticking to Boxing Day. A late Christmas present to us all.

Back in time to play in the AFCON, start in place of Kaide Gordon in the Champions League, play at RB so Trent can play in midfield and hopefully remind Barca that they still owe us money for Coutinho.

He’ll be surplus to requirements when we sign Gini on loan from PSG though.

Maybe. But will it be in time for when it would be great to have him back? When Mo, Keita & Mane are at the AFCON.

He started the season in midfield when we had a few absences there. Obviously in January the gap will be in the front 3, but as far as I can recall he's never played there for us, unless it was in a 2nd string cup team.

Long term he's being readied to play in the attacking midfield role isn't he, or do people see him as a forward?

FSG is thrilled to announce Harvey Elliot, their latest like a new signing, who will bolster our faltering attack at a bargain price.

His return can't come soon enough. Sorry to say, but Hendo's form has been horrendous and Milner isn't much better. Hope to see Harvey on the pitch after a week or so of team training and until then, Curtis Jones needs to play every minute.

Like a new signing. Truly.

Why make new signings when you can have players come back from injury and AFCON!!!

We’ll have Harvey, Thiago and Keita to look forward to and Jones alphas been out for so long he’s already like a new signing!!!

Not to mention Clarkson coming back from Blackburn is like a new signing.

A lot of pressure on a 5' 7" (170cm) teenager whose just coming back from a serious injury.

If we are relying on the youth team to bolster the first team, kids like Gordon, Morton, Williams and even Curtis Jones need to bulk up.

We might need to temper our expectations of Elliott a little bit, fingers crossed he has a youthful return where he looks like he was never away. It might take a while to come good again though.
