But according to Bild, Aogo is yet to agree to the move and could yet push for a transfer that would see hims earn a higher salary elsewhere.

And that has alerted Liverpool to the possibility that left-back Aogo, who has played for Germany on 12 occasions, might prefer a move to Anfield.

However, the Reds will face competition from Bayer Leverkusen and AS Roma with all three clubs thought to be willing to top the £2.5m offered by Schalke and provide significantly more appealing personal terms.

Asked where he expected to be playing at the start of next season, Aogo said: "I do not plan anything anymore. I live in the moment."

Liverpool currently have Jose Enrique and Aly Cissokho who can play left-back, but the latter is on loan from Valencia and could yet return to Spain at the end of the season.[/article]

Yeah, not bad. Very quick, athletic, good cross. Not as good as Alaba though. But he would offer something different compared to Enrique and could be a useful addition.

He is also a bit injury-prone, I think.

Seen him a few times and been impressed. Played both left back and left midfield.
Sounds a bit like his agent wants a higher salary for him at Schalke though.
