It's more than one uninspiring performance he's had several. He's shown a bit of potential in a few other games. In summary - he's indifferent

Yeah, he has. But there seems to be a huge clammer to suggest he's rubbish after the last game. I think he deserves a bit more time. It's very hard to judge any of the newer, younger players at present and a little unfair, with many of the older ones not performing either.

It's not really fair comment

I know when a player is good enough to play for Liverpool and am capable of mitigating for quality of team, opposition, and many other factors

Eggnog isn't
Lucas isn't
Insua isn't

He deserves a little more time based on the fact he's 20 and being playing in a position that he's clearly not suited too. I don't think he's good enough either but I do agree he deserves more time. But in the reserves. So it is fair comment.

Not his fault he is being asked to replace Torres. He is hardly going to refuse to play. Yes he was terrible against Stoke but I wouldn't now label him *shit* on the back of it. To be fair he hasn't looked like a world beater so far in his short career but he isn't as bad as you make him out to be.

We all know he isn't good enough to lead the line for us on his own. You're not telling us anything we don't already know. I don't see how you feel the need to reiterate it all over the football forum.

Oh dear. Ryan, did you hear things whispering to you in your dreams? Fucking hell. NoGoals is shit. End of. Against Stoke, it was a typical N'Gog performance.

When the new manager comes, he'll return to France.

This.

It's not N'Gog's fault he's out there leading the line. He shouldn't be in that situation. I think he's a decent little player with some potential who has been thrown in at the deep end of the shark pool and doesn't know to swim backwards.

That's not what it is. That's what you think of him. The truth is, NoGoal is just an average little striker. So doesn't matter where he play, what position he played in and what boots he wear he's just an average player.

So you're repeating what I basically said without the depth, nuance, and reference to other threads. Thanks Glock. Just copy and paste my post next time and you won't miss the important parts.

Yup, i add the boots part so that it won't look like as if i copied you word for word. Thanks mate.

Yep, great way to eradicate the Stoke nightmare. We should leave Dirk up top with N'gog coming off the bench for the next game also. Babel/Maxi can play RW. Riera for LW. Nice.

worst.nickname.EVER..especially since he's got a handful of goals this season..

Ngog did well when he came on but needs to learn how to do it from the start. But yes encouraging

So anyone with an open mind agrees they see the potential in this kid and have the patience to watch him grow (a lot more so if he wasn't the only cover for Torres and was played with a striking partner). The myopic brothers; Brendan and Glock disagree.

I'd be happy to watch the other two also if it weren't for them being our only options for long periods of time. It really isn't the environment in which youth succeed.

Whilst Brendan's been a bit harsh, we should remember that he really *is* an average player; but he has an eye for goal and that's always a good thing.

As a 3rd or 4th choice striker at 1.5 million, we really couldn't do much better.

The problem is we need another Torres.

1. I doubt we have the money to go for another striker like Torres.

2. No striker like Torres' pedigree is willing to warm the bench. I'd rather to have other players who can chip in with their fair share of goals, instead of just relying on the striker(s).

Ngog has been a decent backup for Torres, it's not easy to be the lone frontman with little support from others. We have seen Torres struggled many times when he was not given enough support from other team mates, are we asking too much from Ngog, when we know he's no where near half as good as Torres at the moment? I still think Ngog is a better lone striker than Kuyt, Ngog can lead the line better.

Yes I did watch the stoke game, and some other games that Torres was pretty shit as well, what's your point?
