The whole story mystifies me. He's too old for us, he'll want too much in wages, he'll probably take too long to adjust to the pace of the league (by which time he'll probably be either totally worn out or desperate to go back to Spain) and he'll hold back the development of all the young right backs we're supposed to be bringing through. We've got a very limited budget for the summer, the vast majority of which we need to spend on a genuinely dangerous striker and a top midfielder. Alves would be an insane way to waste our money.
