The version I heard was that we agreed the price, but the deal fell through because we wanted to pay on an instalment plan while Sevilla wanted the whole lot up front. Maybe they then said the price would go up if we paid by instalments?

I think people often just assume that attacking fullbacks are shit defensively.

Alves is no Maldini but I've seen a lot of fine defensive moments and performances from him.
