Dalglish “watches†£18m Belgian starlet
Posted on Wednesday, 27th October 2010 by David Tully

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that Kenny Dalglish has been to watch Lille attacking midfielder Eden Hazard. According to the paper, the young Belgian starlet is a target for Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson and Dalglish was spotted at a match between Lille and Levski Sofia in the Europa League on Thursday night. The 19 year old has been tracked by a number of top European clubs including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United but he could be persuaded by his agent to move to Liverpool to get guaranteed regular first team. The Telegraph believes that Hazard would cost in the region of £18million.

*cums*

This lad has everything, and should be signed if there is a chance. Would solve our wing issue right away.

Imagine us getting him and Affelay. We would have some fucking good wingers that could make our attack sooooooooooo much better.

The future of Belgian football is ridiculously good, if they all progress to their potential:

Mignolet, Kompany, Vermaelen, Vertonghen, Fellaini, Defour, Witsel, Hazard, Lukaku to name a few.

He has lost his place in the Lille team and attracted some critism from the national team boss I think.
His progress seems to have stalled somewhat but that could well be kickstarted by a move to a bigger club/league.
At £18m he would be quite the risk and despite having new owners I doubt if we have that sort of money to gamble with just yet.

Still nice to see us linked with and apparently watching exciting young talent.

I saw this guy play once, can't remember in what game, but I was very impressed. He was quite dynamic and skillful. Yes, please.

I hope we have a proper clear out this summer.

There's no way any manager can guarantee regular first team football. (At least without keeping his fingers crossed behind his back).

We're as close as it gets to a guarantee of regular first-team football, unless he's actually disabled.

exactly. any half decent player that comes to liverpool is GUARANTEED first team football.

He's no doubt talented, but the risks are that he's very lightweight and has a pretty nothing goals record.

We'd have a job on our hands to develop his potential.

I'm sure we would have said the same about the likes of Dossena, Robbie Keane, Aquilani and so-on.

I said 'half decent player'

The lightweight argument should be shot down once and for all. There are so many players we've branded as lightweight that has taken the Premiership with ease.

10 goals in 80 games when you're 19 is decent to say the least.

There is a risk here obvs, but if he's available we should act. It's signings like these we have fucked up and regretted several times.

Young is a good shout. Suarez will cost 30 mill.

Llorente would be fantastic. We need a striker and a winger, so both please.

Eh, I can think of better ways to spend £18million, like Suarexz, Llorente or Young.

Have you watched much of him? I ask because I wouldn't have imagined this to be your opinion if you had.

He really does have the potential to go on and be the world's best in a few years. Even at his current level he would improve us.
I'd be thrilled with any of the three players you mentioned, but I'd rather take a punt on this kid anyday.

Exactly Mamma Mia, has the 'potential'. I don't think we should be blowing £18million on potential. We need to sign players who are of proven quality. We can't afford to wait for players to realise their potential with the state our squad is in.

You start planning for tomorrow once your set for today, as far as I'm concerned.

I don't think Suarez would be that much, abuot £20mill ish, yes. He was hyped after the WC and ready for his big move and made it known, they didn't get a single bid. I think he could be a bargain waiting to happen.

He isn't potential Anita, he is class now. This kid isn't some sort of Babel, who may come good in a few years time 'because he can run'.

Plus, he can actually play on the wing. That thing with a white line near it. Near the fans.

Seriously though. Have you seen him play?

I'm not talking Le Tallec/Pongolle/Pacheco potential. I said potential to be the best player in the world.
