It's hard to say but if Suarez is staying, I'd toss it between a centre back and a midfielder, someone to compete with Lucas. There's a few other positions that need plugging aswell, but those have to be the priorities.

attacking midfielder, there's a reason we were willing to spend 20m on this lad. brendan's master plan about serious firepower. and i mean SERIOUS.
and on £250,000 a week.It didn't work for Newcastle or any other supposed free scoring team. You have to have a defence worthy of the name and whilst ours is not a shambles, for the latter part of last season we were reliant on a soon to retire 35 yr old to show defensive prowess.
If no one else is leaving, then I'd buy a Yaya Toure type player. Versatile, agile, creative but also ready to roll his sleeves up when needed.
So that I'm clear, I dont want Yaya!and on £250,000 a week.
And costs £40,000 😉So that I'm clear, I dont want Yaya!
Frankly I'd take someone of the ilk of Ronnie Whelan. Uncomplicated, unfussy but totally reliable and chips in with goals.

Lets keep Spearing/Shelvey then
reliable?
Bolton would argue that Spearing was reliable and Shelvey, in scored 5 goals but unfortunately for him he played a bit-part season
