He's pretty flexible.

He can play on the right too or 'in the hole', so he'll get enough pitch time.

He'll probably get a lot of games as he can play both wings and behind the striker.

I was still expecting him to leave.

Cole is right footed. He can play on either wing. I presume they will rotate.
 
Depends what formation Chelsea play though. If they're trying to use both Drogba and Anelka, he won't play behind the striker(s), and they've got several untouchables in midfield - Lampard, Ballack, Essien. That doesn't leave Cole many opportunities to get in the team IMO. He'd be better off with us.
 
As it stands, there's little competition on Chelsea's right flank.

I'd like him too, but I can never see it happening.
