He was about to be given a Red Card. I'm not saying this was a Holgate situation but he was obviously not in the best of moods before he heard what he heard. At another time he may have reacted totally differently or at least questioned it calmly.

As a Nigerian, I can tell you for a fact that we'd refer to the skin colour and without fear of racism accusations. In fact, a common phrase for white people in Nigeria does refer to their pale skin. But that's the privilege Nigerians get living in their own land; and largely because we haven't had a history of oppressing white people in Nigeria, so no one is sensitive about it.

Hehe. I've actually not returned home. I just keep my location there. I pretty much am a London-born/living Nigerian.

Well I was still wrong because I had you down as Irish ! I didn't get the chance to go to Kaduna (90 on 30 off and no free time bar a few hours here and there - BBQs on Badagry beach 😀 )

I was based in Lagos (Victoria Island / Ikoyi) most of the time but had to go off to Mile One a couple of times a week. And spent a month or so every year in Owerri.
