See... this is the problem - if the top scientists in the world can’t agree on the science... how are us mere mortals supposed to know.
The answer, as with everything, will be a bit of both sides.
You made a point earlier about one side getting shut down more than the other - which is s fair point.
However there is also a question of equivalence, which has permeated just about every discussion with even a hint of politics - and unfortunately too many false equivalences get drawn.
I’ve never listened to Joe Rogan.
I’ll give him a go - I recommend you give the Doherty Institute a look too.
He also wrote a book called “The Knowledge Wars”, which may be of interest.
Full disclosure - I haven’t read it.
Definitely. I'm not expecting all the scientists to agree. What I do expect, though, is fair, balanced and open discussion, and the freedom for us plebs to make up our own mind. Definitely agree the truth will be a bit of both and somewhere in the middle.
Joe Rogan can be a bit annoying, he can fluff his guests a bit too much, and he gives the ones he agrees with an easier ride than those he doesn't. I also don't agree with everything that he says or believes in. But he often has good guests you wouldn't hear from in other settings, from both sides of the aisle, which he should be commended on. Depressingly, that's a rare thing to see these days.
I've just had a quick read on the link you provided to Ross. Will read it properly later. But it does seem to offer a refreshingly balanced viewpoint too. The more people speaking out like this, the more promising things will begin to look.
