I was with a relative on a bit of a road trip on the weekend.
He coughed a lot on the 7 hours in the car.. but promised he took a test before and it was negative.
The day after he took a test and it was positive.
I've not, thankfully, had any symptoms yet but as I wanted to visit family I figured Id take a PCR test before going and it's positive.. first go said it was inconclusive.
Appaz the incubation period is 5/6 days so let's see how I am on Saturday but I'm having to self isolate..
And a few hours in, I'm super bored already.
Watched don't look up, was decent enough.

Haven't listened to it all, but Joe Rogan's latest podcast with John Abramson is an interesting insight into the machinations of the pharmaceutical companies. It's even worse than I previously thought.
Really... are you sure that paracetamol? I can’t find any “legal boiler plate shit” on mine that says “the manufacturers of this tablet are not engaged in medicine in any way and the pill, which you shouldn’t swallow unless you’ve spoken to a medical practitioner, can’t be trusted to actually be a pill”.

I was thinking about that guy Rogan had on very early in the pandemic. When all the chat was about waves and reduce the curve.
I think at the time it was the second wave was the one we need to be careful of.. but the guy was saying there'll be 5/6 waves.
We're now two years in and the info still suggests deaths are lower than previous even if cases are up.

Dear child, a slap will not absolve these sins, they need to be burned with fire so that the devout followers of the science are kept pure and protected from their heresy.
Read that back in your head and ask yourself if you even understand what that means and then try again if you really need to

This is not your decision to make or to question. The righteous scientists have made this decision using the higher intelligence, expertise and enlightenment they have been blessed with. They have delivered the good news of the boosters to you. Never question much less refuse the gift of the lord, do not be like those heretics with their misplaced sense of arrogance and hubris. Just have faith and your salvation awaits.
I saw this ... it seems weird to me, but it still seems based on all what I've read that this is a very weak variant and though vaccinated and unvaccinated alike get it, one group pretty much is a-ok, unless they have other health issues and then the % drops, and the other group is who are taking up our hospitals... it seems we are in wave 5, but life will be pretty much normal.
