Chinese "Devil Virus" - anyone worried?

You mean we haven’t got a strong and stable government giving us clear advice on how to act?

Someone told me that the tory approval ratings are still through the roof.

Finished this country. The entire planet, actually. Where's that asteroid when you need it?

I wouldnt say the entire planet. We’ve just eased of the restrictions after 8 weeks. The government have gotten things under control, the hospitals have more than enough capacity, there are fewer cases, less people getting infected, 0,55 now in terms of each infected person spreading the virus.
So if I wanted to I could go to the pub tomorrow and have a pint, with taking 1 meter social distancing and the neccessary precautions. People are back in work, schools are open, footy is back on the 15th of June and even amusement parks are opening in June.

So everyone arent fucked, you just sadly have mental lizzard fuckwits in charge who only think about themselves.

That's against the law in Europe.

Phew... it’s a good job I don’t live in Europe.

What’s a real shame though, is that European Law can never be reformed - thank God the UK can make all its own laws and show everybody how to deal with the aftermath of a pandemic.

[article]Dowden later tweeted: “In the least risky outdoor environments, we can imminently allow some sports activity like golf, basketball, tennis, fishing – solo/in households”

Ermmmmmm. Basketball is no different to football.

Is it just me.. ?? if your working class.. go to work you lazy fucker.. potentially meet up with hoardes of people, most you don't know, oh and you can exercise twice a day.. Stay Alert though..

Middle class or above.. work from home.. limit contact with other people... save lives..

Theme here.. get my drift ???

Is that true, though? I don't personally think that the class structure in the UK is as pronounced as that at all these days, but I would imagine that many a person who works in a shop, or restaurant or hotel etc may well consider themselves working class, yet their workplaces are still closed for the foreseeable future. And plenty of people who work in heathcare or for the police or various other public services may well consider themselves middle class, yet have been working all of the time.

To add to that..

Working class potentially meet many people as you would with the nature of your job.

Middle class or above working from home..

You can meet one person from outside household in park etc if you follow social distancing

You CANNOT meet two - such as both parents - at the same time

And again, not exactly as clear as that is it?

Would you consider a GP to be working class or middle class? Or any highly trained medical professional? Or a senior police officer? Wouldn't they meet an awful lot people?

And, again, surely those in retail, catering etc whoxe workplaces are still closed. They are not being forced back to work are they, so presumably in your logic they are middle class?

And should EVERYONE who is able to do any work from home now to be considered as middle class, and EVERYONE who has to go somewhere else to work be considered as working class? If so then I look forward to watching those two working class heroes Boris Johnson and Sir Keir Starmer standing opposite each other in parliament (where neither of them live) this afternoon!

The class generalisations are absurd and simply do not work at all.

You have a fair point with your final point though. That doesn't make an awful lot of sense.

Pretty awful take on the whole situation. There are a hell of a lot of hourly wage workers (who would mostly fall under your WC banner) who can't WFH but are still being protected the most. I also think there will be more people who are currently furloughed who want to get back to work than continue staying at home.

I am at a loss, to be honest, at who would and wouldn't fall under his working class banner

Point I'm making.. it clear there appears to be a Herd Immunity plan resurfacing here..

Id argue it's been their preferred plan all along..

Inevitable we are going to hit a second spike in the pandemic..
