Chinese "Devil Virus" - anyone worried?

The Chinese have sleeper cell hedge funds waiting to collapse the US economy, thousands of embedded spies, and stuxnet type viruses that could bring down the electrical supply in loads of major cities.

And Trump thinks killing yourself with bleach or giving yourself cancer with radiation is a possible cure for a virus

Gotta laugh

At least the virus won't kill you 😀

If the US economy did collapse, they have a trillion dollars worth of debt to china that will become a problem. One that will only be solved by agreeing to something like several dozen ccp military bases being dotted around the states. Big D is the only one standing between them and that doom coming to pass.

Init.. i could delve further

You know what.. I think I will .

Here's Apples supplier list thrown into the mix..

Too many from China to even be bothered to attempt counting. [emoji2957]

It’s amazing that anyone can think we can go stealth by sticking to western goods. The amount of unsecured IOT people now have in their homes let alone devices your neighbors leaves you exposed with or without knowledge.

Just found out other day that virgin super hub 3 as default comes with public hotspot enabled out of the box. It’s never documented or agreed to explicitly by the customer and only noticed it other day when looking at Wi-Fi signal quality. We are all fucked either way, take the Trump bleach and be done with it.

I have a Xiaomi, best value for money out there. I'd have more concerns about privacy using Facebook to be honest, or installing random apps that are looking for personal info.

They don't give a shit about your concern. The only thing that matters is what you can successfully argue in court.

If you issued proceedings in the beijing courts of justice, you'd be executed before the ink on the certificate of service was dry.

I think he might just mean all the Republican ones, because as we all know, anyone who is right-wing is thick and racist, and anyone who is left-wing is wise and kind.

Just look at Red Ninja, for example.

So 'they' would be the Republican Party presumably, and 'putting in' would be selecting the presidential candidate. Okay, I am relieved at that in a way, because that is slightly less loony a theory than the alternative. Slightly, mind. It is still obviously ridiculous.

Is this the approach you suggest for most purchasing decisions?

Not for regular repeat purchasing decisions, where you can get even just by walking away forever. But for one off or irregular purchases, or for high value items, absolutely you need to consider the ease of issuing proceedings and the likelihood of the counter party being able to escalate the case resulting in your execution.

I trade my iphone for a Huawei (still had Google) recently, and I realised that:

1. Now the Chinese government knows all everything about me that US government used to know.

2. Neither of these two evil governments really give a shit about me, or what I surf.

3. Somehow, everyone on the internet already knows everything I've ever done or searched for.

4. Huawei is a dodgy and unethical company but it makes really really good phones...

Let me know when you win a case

40% of the worlds hackers, who are chinese, might give a shit about your bank accounts, emails, passwords, date of birth, address, package all that up, and sell it to criminals on the dark web. You can have a cursory look here...

It's not a bad one. There's lots of garages in Ireland that I wouldn't buy a car from because they are really only fronts for organised crime.

I wouldn't like to try to complain about a car afterwards to the local drug lords running the garage.

That's actually a better argument than anything produced by the two numpties thus far.

I own a Xiaomi phone.

I don't think it really matters what phone you use when the network is constantly monitored anyway.

TOKYO: The mayor of Japan's Osaka has come under fire for suggesting men should do grocery shopping during the coronavirus outbreak because women are indecisive and "take a long time".

Japan is under a state of emergency over the pandemic, and residents in some areas have been asked to shop less frequently and only send one family member out to get supplies to limit contact.

Osaka Mayor Ichiro Matsui told reporters on Thursday (Apr 23) that men should be entrusted with grocery runs because women "take a long time as they browse around and hesitate about this and that", Kyodo news agency reported.

"Men can snap up things they are told (to buy) and go, so I think it's good that they go shopping, avoiding human contact," the 56-year-old added.

When challenged by a reporter, he acknowledged his remarks might be viewed as out-of-touch, but said they were true in his family.

He has a point. But you can't treat people differently regardless of whether or not you end up getting them killed. If I were a woman, I'd rather die alone in an intensive care ward, but knowing that my mayor respected my gender.

I'm sure the hackers already have access to my bank account etc....I'm just not valuable enough to hack.

Would it make a difference if I used an iphone, or a Samsung? I doubt it.

I guess 99.99% of women would rather be alive than give a shit what any politician thinks!

The BT routers do that too. It's fucking disgusting, but doesn't surprise me, cos everytime I ask for someone's WiFi password & they hand me a card with some long default password on & I tell them they can change that password to whatever they want in two minutes, they look at me in utter shock. Most people have no idea what a router actually is or does.

They're the people who also say "My WiFi is broken" or "The Internet isn't working" without understanding how utterly batshit crazy those sentences actually are.
