Chinese "Devil Virus" - anyone worried?

.... I don't like cloned ......products.

That's how advances in technology works. It's happened in the West for decades but because the Chinese do it too it is now something only the Chinese do (or so racists would have you believe). The history of Western innovation is based on cloning .. with added technology (something a lot of Chinese companies are good at).

There are some damn good Chinese companies now .. as well as those that produce shite .. what do you expect from a country with approx 35 million companies (compared to the USA's approx 2.5 million of which 775,000 were less than a year old in 2019).

I'm assuming that's just a random fake watch which Brendan googled to prove his point that everything made in china is a sub standard rip off.

But yeah, it does actually suit him perfectly.

In what way? I just clearly stated I hated fake, cloned, sub-par products, so obviously I hate it.

At least you weren't fucking thick enough to think it was mine, so that's one thing you have going for you. It's not much, like.

The other difference is you can take apart your iphone. Look at it, get an expert ot look at it. If there is something in there that shouldn't be, your next stop is the royal courts of justice and a big fat settlement. If you took your xiaomi or huawei phone apart and found these chips, you can melt it down and sell the bonus mettle for 0.025p. I'd prefer the first settlement.

Ah right, and you'd be the ideal person to help me win that settlement in court, and then advise me on how best to invest my newfound riches.

They can't just install software instead of an actual chip?

Yes, that's what you need to worry about. The physical chip was more designed to breach US corporations and defence systems I imagine, because they wouldn't be stupid enough to install some Chinese malware ridden app onto their servers.

But you're not racist like me, so knock yourself out and install all the chinese apps you want. Because nothing bad will come of that.

Has anyone actually said your stance on this is racist?

I think most of us agree that you're just being incredibly stupid here.

I'm honoured you would think so, but I can't even spell metal correctly anymore. I need to preserve what's left of my decaying cognitive abilities for important works, for the sake of future generations.

Just to clarify all this, here are some solid reasons why you would be an idiot to use a Xiaomi phone, regardless of ROM, OS, or installed Apps:

  1. Fake Breitlings are made in China too!!!!!!
  2. Apple branded shoes!!!!!!
  3. China don't trust Western tech companies!!!
  4. It's easier to sue Google / Apple for stealing data!!

Don't forget that China has a history of espionage.

It's yet to be established if Britain or the US also indulge in that. I reckon they don't, it's only foreigners who deal in those dirty, underhand tactics.

It is also a fact that all Chinese companies has an obligation on spying if told by their government. Over here in Norway Huawei was actually willing to apply a Non-Spy clause if they were allowed to bid for the national 5G network.

You see? Completely trustworthy.
