Chinese "Devil Virus" - anyone worried?

I also recall in the brexit thread all of you were holding up the EU safety regulations as being our only hope against the UK being flooded with substandard chinese exploding phone chargers. Because it was racist to do brexit. Now, a few months later, suddenly it is racist to reject chinese products because Trump is racist.

It was more like American exploding phone chargers - because they’re not as good as the Chinese ones and cost more.

The amount of hubs that are out there with people using default passwords beggers beleif.. People are stupid.. Just crying out to hacked and have their personal data stolen.

BT always pissed me off with their public BT Wifi service.. Depended on people with BT routers to have that element enabled, so technically any tom dick or Harry could connect to your router via their BT WiFi service... although separate from home WiFi, always uneasy about it for obvious reasons, aswell as giving guests the opportunity to hog your bandwidth to,

You know that was the first thing I turned off when I was with them...

The problem being that it seems like this is satire, and I'm pretty sure it's satire, and I fervently want to believe it's satire...but too many times in the past there's been occurrences where I've gone "Nah, he can't have said that, it's gotta be a pisstake, nobody is that fucking dumb..."

If the suggestion had been represented by a simple colourless line drawing with crayons provided to brighten it up - then Trump May have shown some interest in it.

I also loved how @manwithnoname has tried his damn hardest to deflect attention regarding some comments I made to me in this thread..

Indeed, fuck you. The world had intelligent leaders in the early 90's that warned of the economic damage that clinton's trade policies would wreak, with intelligent arguments backed up with empirical evidence. The people dismissed them as lying racists at the time. Then everything they warned about has come to pass. Now you have an actual lying and possible racist as the only viable alternative thirty years later to clean up the mess of the past. So fuck you is absolutely the correct response.

A lot of American products apart from the latest Ford Mustang are shit within reason anyway..

Boy the latest Ford Mustang is thing of beauty, I've got behind the wheel of one recently.. Oh boy do they growl.. thing of beauty..

Back to my original point, all designed to be Big, like an ego thing or make you feel powerful (guns, etc) or make you fat.

Ok yeh the Mustang is defo an ego thing.. But that thing is beautiful.. A power rush of beauty..

I always think in the US they are happy for people to get fat within reason in America because of how their healthcare system works, escalates the prices of Health Insurance

Burger King, Mc Donald's and all that.

Why I care? I get obsessive over truth, probably due to an aspergers side effect. Science, law and economics are about getting to the truth and right answers in their own little ways. Of course none of them will ever get there because they don't have my brain.

Why global politics and capitalism? It's the best system we've invented. In the last weeks I've done several nobel prize in economics worthy bits of modelling to take free market price data and predict various complex things. If capitalism fails, then I personally will have no more use of those models which will piss me off. That's the main reason, looking out for number one. The second reason is humans will prosper and go out into the galaxy if they keep up with capitalism, and they will go extinct if they don't. After any sentient thing dies, the positions and momentum of the charged particles in their brains will be repeatedly replicated long into the future, leading to unending hellish torture that they will probably mistake for the after-life. I don't want that. I don't have enough time or understanding to fix it. But a million years is ample time for our descendants to figure this out, and come up with a solution, out of compassion and empathy. They can't very well do that if they've gone extinct or run out of money. I suppose that is also looking out for number one. But I also care about the living standards and progress of humans too.

They are one of the biggest dangers. The other is radical islamic fundamentalists. The other is china. The other is corbynista socialism. The other is globalism. The other is dishonest scientific research squandering trillions of dollars without solving shit, then shrugging their shoulders when the asteroid/tsunami/global warming tail event comes to pass. The other, well it's much easier just to back capitalism, rather than fight against all these potential threats.

And that is totally fine for you to think that. Each note in your wallet is a vote, your vote for what you think are the best products and services. You are free to spend/vote with it however you choose. Of course you're an idiot and will vote for stupid chinese products. But it doesn't matter, the system overall works to provide better products and make the world better as a result. Anything that opposes or tries to game that system in favour of corporate profit margins or political power, needs to be wiped out. Killed and assassinated if necessary.
 
Actually we might have to consider that Dantes may be Greta Thunberg’s alter ego so that she can have some fun while actually saving the world.
 
I heard she diagnosed herself with coronavirus. It may be of some comfort to her that the debilitating respiratory problems mean that she is exhaling less CO2 into her enviornment.
