fuck that I DO blame masher for the goal because we had a SHIT loads of options forwards most of our team was over the fucking halfway line, what he tried to do was fucking IDIOTIC. simply pass to the left or right but he takes on three players with virtually our entire team ahead of him.
Exaggerated rubbish. They might have been coming forward but most of them hadn't got there. Only Torres was in space ahead of him.
whatever, before the ball got nicked of masher's toe I screaming for him to pass to the options he had left AND right. I must have imagined those passing options I have have also imagine that chelsea have little to confront because liverpool players were upfield.
I can see it now. Mascher gives the ball to one of "those passing options", who were all marked, and then you get on his case for doing THAT. The guy just can't win with you.
JJ, Mascher (whom I love) had at least two easy options that he refused to take, turned himself into trouble, and needlessly lost posession. The goal WAS his fault.
I hear you, old friend, but we'll have to agree to differ. The only options Mascher did have were sideways or backwards, the kind of pass we played too often last season in all those drawn games. His teammates gave him no help ahead of him, at a time when we badly needed to keep forward momentum. Stevie has to play in CM alongside him, at least until Aquilani can come in, to avoid such a thing happening again.
Amigo, the option that was available to him, that he didn't take, would not have led to a goal. This was a game where we would have readily accepted a draw...
His mistake cost us a goal. Simple.
Well yes mate, but it's not as simple as saying 'Mascherano error goal conceded, discussion over'.
You've got to ask why he felt the need to try and take players under no pressure? Why didn't he take the sideways option? Why was he faced with 3 opposotion players? Why was there no covering midfielder? Millions of questions chief.
Whilst his error led to the goal and of course "it's that simple", ot's also far too simple to say that the discussion ends there.
