VVD £70m, Kieta £70m, Polish Pete £62m, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic £62m. The prices being asked for is plain stupid.

VVD is coming off a long term injury and poses a huge risk as there's no guarantee he will replicate his performance from previous seasons . Naby Kieta has a heart condition and is obliged to play in the AFCON cup. Polish Pete was available for £11m last season and has had a good season but as good as Salah's? No! We got Salah for £34m from the same league.with much better stats.

Alternatives
Ruben Neves is available for €40m
Simon Kjaer is available for under €20m
Diego Godin has 2 years left and is 31 I would imagine the fee would be less than €30m
Leon Goretzka has 1 year left on his contract, Arsenal are reported to be offering £21m for him

If we have a very potent attack, which in itself is a form of defence, so spending £70m on players like Lacazette, Dembele, and PEA who will add a real cutting edge to our attack.

There are no no guarantees of anything in football. At the very least if the manager gets his first choice players, there can be no complaints.

......Naby Kieta has a heart condition ......
And where did you get this scaremongering bit of excrement from ? He passed out once and was given the all clear with the doctor's explanation that it was a ciculatory issue brought on by sheer exhaustion .... no deep undelying issues. But in your head this is interpreted as having a heart condition ?

Hahahahahaha!

Of course, the heart is in no way linked to "circulatatory issues"

I would thought we have had our fill of ' cheaper alternatives' can we not have a summer of expense?

I bet this went down a storm when you shared it in the office.

Oh dear. It would appear Olly has decided my post was racist, and I meant some racist intent.

Despite the obvious joke being "the market has gone bananas" and the use of bananas as currency being an obvious call-back to that.

What a fucking cunt Olly is.

If we bought:
Tierney c.£20m
Gibson c.£25m
Goretzka c.£25m
Lacazette c.£45m

To add to the Salah purchase, I'd be a very very happy supporter.

Could even afford to throw a marquee signing in, whether it was VvD, Keita or PEA.

I know the transfer market has gone fucking bananas, but 20m for Origi seems a bit optimistic.

Unless it's 20m bananas
He scored 11 goals and made 4 assists, with a bit part season. So how much do you think he is worth? Arsenal want £35m for their bit part player who has a year left on his contract and that Cow has only scored 9 goals since 2011. Spurs want £20m for Kevin Wimmer and he only played 5 games last year. £20m is a good price I would even say it's £10m below market value

I doubt either Goretzka, Lacazette or Tierney will be available at those prices you've given. Especially Goretska. Maybe not much more for the other two but still higher as they will be in demand.

However 3 out of 4 I'd agree with ! Not use about Gibson.

Agreed. But then I don't have a hard on for Origi.

We play way more games than in Germany, so you really want to risk £70m on player who possibly has a heart issue?

Well done for picking up on a Liverpool fan page that copied their info from the original reports before he'd even been properly assessed ... and before he was later cleared of having any hidden issues. Do your research properly.

And actually if you look at minutes played there is little to virtually no difference whatsoever between Germany and the PL so I have no idea where you picked that second snippet of BS from. You're on a roll .. fancy going for the hattrick ?

Goretzka has 1 year left on his contract. Arsenal are preparing a £21m bid. Agreed it may be closer to £30m maybe.

Lacazette has already been told he can leave for €50m which is c.£45m. Its well documented by their CEO.

Tierney plays in Scotland. It'd be a record for a transfer received. Of course they'll sell at that price. The figure banded about is actually €20m.

So when I tell you we should buy Dolberg you don't listen and when I tell you we should NOT buy Simon Kjaer it's the same, you don't listen..

Why... WHY!?

Just a thought, wouldn't his supposed heart condition show up in the medical tests we do before?

I think there will be a bidding war on Lacazette. Ditto Tierney, it may be a record but he is being scouted by a host of clubs, I'd be surprised if it was under £25m TBH.
