Change one thing: It can be a coach or staff, it's owners, a player (only one) including in or out, or a specific thing about how we play our football.

Try and be subjective, avoiding 'Lol, we're shit' and other such stuff.

I'm gonna get shot down for this undoubtedly but my change would be to play Shelvey every game: He's got urgency, a good pass and he plays like he enjoys every fucking second. I want to bring some sexy football back.

A simple change which I think would have got us more points do I'm on complete agreement with you

Carroll wakes up one morning realises he once was once a cracking prospect at Newcastle and starts scoring

Play Andy Carroll
I'm on this train.
I'm of the opinion that forwards thrive on a positive mindset, that is fostered by a coaching staffs confidence and they should be played as much as possible.
While he was below par earlier in the season, I think he has shown improvement in the last month or so.
I cannot see us losing too much by playing the crap out of him for the rest of the season.

I would just hope for a modification to the scouting system and transfer strategy.

I'll go for this as well.

Whenever things look like we're going to kick on we have a ruinous summer (or two) to bring us right back down to earth.

I'd love to have a talented sporting director with true vision at the club. Comolli has it all to prove in this respect.

The stadium into the 60,000-65,000 capacity we [allegedly] need to stay competitive.

It would be the stadium for me, its about 15 years overdue now and we're not any closer to having it sorted

I was going to say this but you beat me to it, so I'll add my second priority, which is a top quality attacking coach. With someone as good in that area as Steve Clarke has proven to be with the defence, we'd be top four fo' sho'.

Agreed.

have a footballing philosophy and stick to it, make the players fit the system not the other way round.

I completely disagree. If you're that insistent on a particular philosophy and your squad can't produce it, you have to sell the players concerned and bring others in who can do what you want. What must NOT happen, under any circumstances, is what you say above.

Have an owner that lives locally in a castle on a hill that we can all surround with torches and pitchforks when we've only won 1 in 6.

if your philosphy is kick and rush then you buy the players to make that happen.
if your philosphy is pass and move then you buy the players to make that happen.
if your philosphy is counter attack then you buy the players to make that happen.
don't buy players for kick and rush to fit in a pass and move team and vice verser.
that is the long and short of what I said.
