Oh, do fuck off.

That's like calling an Irishman 'pseudo English'.
I was actually making a joke of some one else who made this comment.
Relax mate,
I wasn't being serious or trying to wind you up

Ridiculous decision to not let the season pan out before deciding on a replacement. I hope Munich crash and burn next year, simply because of the way they've treated jupp. He's guiding them to the treble

I've never seen Robben and Ribery work so hard defensively ... Bayern have made a statement ... Have they replaced Barcelona as the best team in Europe? Or does barca with a 100% fit Messi still the top dawgs?

I don't think it has something to do with Messi not being 100% fit.

It had more to do with Schweinsteiger and Martinez completely destroying to link up between Xavi, Iniesta and Messi.

A tactical masterpiece by Heynckes.

Agreed.

But as I said in another thread - I think Guardiola is going to fail royally.

I'm so jealous of German football, amazing tonight, I fancy Dortmund against Madrid as well.

Messi was clearly not even close to being himself ... if he's fully fit, I think it's a far more difficult game for Bayern.

however, that being said ... bayern don't have any weaknesses ... excellent goalkeeper, solid defense, one of the best CM partnerships in the world (that can tackle, pass, press etc), two gifted attacking wingers with pace to burn, Muller (who is just impossible to find on the pitch) & Gomez. They're going to dominate footy like Barca did the last 5 years.

Nah. Bayern announced his retirement but he himself concurred.

Telly said Heynkes hadn't won anything for yonks before this season and they couldn't resist Pep. They obviously thought Heynkes was going to be shit again and now they look like tits.

That result has been coming for Barca this season. They've rode their luck one too many times.

They're simply not as solid and efficient as they were under Pep. I don't know why - whether it's tactical adjustments made by Tito or whether there is a degree of complacency amongst the players - however they don't work as hard in terms of the pressing game and the sharpness of previous years isn't there. It now takes Messi at his best to elevate the team as a whole. It'll be interesting to see what they do in the summer because they clearly need to do something about the output they currently get from Pedro, Villa and Sanchez in particular. Not easy.

Bayern are a brilliant side, however I think the statement made tonight is as much about Barca taking a step down as it is Bayern taking a step up.

Bayern looking favourites to win the whole thing but I maintain some small hope that Dortmund can pinch it somehow.

Heynckes must be good at counting cards then too.
