Sorry guys, I'm with KHL here. I think Eriksen is shit hot, and we really fucked up not signing him back when it was an option.

I'm not comparing him to other players. I've had too much fun on redcafe today seeing scum fans actually trying to argue Pogba is better than KdB.

He's a very good player, no one's disputing that

It's comparing him to 2 genuine legends of the game that got people's backs up

Read the thread again mate.. no need to get your back up really. I said I could see him end up in that mould if he can continue to build on his develoments.

Big deal, eh?

But I don't think anyone bar you thinks eriksens ceiling is that high.

That's why people thought you were insane

I couldn't give one solitary fuck about any other English team. I always hope they fail at every step.

Yes. Always this.

I understand all that logic about having more English teams able to qualify, or hoping that Team X, Y or Z go far into the competition, because they'll get tired or rest players in another competition, or raising the quality of our teams or fucking whatever. Fuck off.

Was ANY of that worth it when fucking Chelsea won the CL? Or United in 2008?

Exactly.

I want them all to lose, and lose badly. Always.

I'm far more focused on how we do so I'm pretty much indifferent to the fate of most of them. The exception is ManUre, whom I'd like to see crash and burn every time they step out on to a football pitch anywhere in the world.

I remember when most people didn't all hate Woy, and plucky Fulham under Hodgson reached the Europa League final in 2010

Surely everyone's favourite little underdog had the almost universal support of neutral football fans everywhere?

Fuck that. I was delighted they lost.

Similarly, I hated Leicester winning the league. Fuck underdogs, fuck our rivals and fuck the UEFA coefficient. Fuck everyfuckingthing

Woah, hang on. Leicester winning the league isn't the same. If they hadn't won it one of the other more horrible cunts would have.

Better Leicester than Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, United or Abu Dhabi any fucking day.

Yeah but on the flipside its important that english clubs do well(well better than Italy our nearest rivals for points the last time i checked) in europe for the coefficient points. We want to keep it that 3 teams from england qualify for the CL and not three. If we were challenging for the title every season then i wouldn't care. But as long as we're battling for 4th then it matters.

I still enjoyed watching John Terry fall on his ass and miss the penalty kick in that 2008 final, even if it meant United winning the thing

I have rarely felt so conflicted, but I think, amazingly, and for some weird reason, in that split second Terry missed, I was glad Chelsea lost.

I dont think about the alternative, I just hate the reality.
Also if citeh or the chavs win I can console myself by saying they bought, rather than earned, success.

Yeah, I suppose. But with Leicester I was deffo thinking it was the lesser of several evils, and that it was just a massive once-in-a-lifetime fluke anyway. Which it was.

The only really tedious part of it was the (hilariously short-lived) praise lavished on that mediocrity Ranieri, the cult of Vardy (sp?), and fucking knobheads thinking this meant there was another way of winning the title other than spending loads of money and saying things like "What can we learn from Leicester City winning the title?" and pretending the answer was anything other than "fuck all, it was a fluke"

I have a soft spot for Fulham so was hoping they'd win. And I didn't yet hate Woy with all I've got.

United - Chelsea CL final was a head scratcher though. Legitimately was praying for terrorism or nuclear war. Terry missing the spot kick was terrific though, even if it meant United won.

I preferred 'Boros run.

Maccarone was fucking shite....except in Europe

I remember the anecdote that they needed three goals in the second half against Basle in the quarters and Steve Gibson, the owner, stormed into the dressing room at half time, pushed McLaren out the way and said don't listen to that useless cunt, I pay your wages and the lot of you are getting fucked off if you don't fucking go out there and win.

McLaren's finest hour as far as the football world is concerned was actually him being totally undermined and called a nobhead.

You have to be fucking joking ! Chelsea aren't really anything to us in the big picture. United are the devil incarnate and need to be put to the sword every time they resurrect. Nothing is worse than listening to those cunts after they won Big Ears, Chelsea don't have enough vocal support to bother about.

Yeah, despite hating Terry and Chelsea it was horrible seeing Utd win. The fact that brave John Terry fucked up was just a source of consoling amusement in the days afterward.

I think the united/Chelsea final was similar feels to the 6-1 defeat to Stoke (but obv amplified to the nth degree)

It's fucking bullshit and I hated it happen, but at least Stevie scored in his last game

Every cloud

Chill out, I would obviously prefer United losing that final far more. But that John Terry moment did give me a wonderful moment of amusement in a shitty scenario
