Alves and Messi are fantastic together - they read each other so well, and create room for each other continually. To be honest, it's no surprise they 'struggle' on the international level - the systems don't fit their strengths, and they're missing each other.

You don't? To me it looked pretty obvious he was trying to get the ball the other way around the defender.

Imo, he saw Drogba's run and as he was being closed down by two defenders, passed it behind them ...

For one I don't think Chelsea defended very well at all last night. Nor played well on the counter either. They had ONE chance all game and they scored only because Ramires mishit his cross. And they were torn apart on several ocassions despite defending with 11 players throughout.

Barcelona had enough 100 pct chances to win four games and they'll make it count at home. Chelsea needs to score at least two but more likely three or four to progress. That will not happen, football will win alongside Barca come Tuesday next.

It's football and everything can happen but in 99 out of a 100 games Barca will turn over this rather bleak-looking Chelsea side at Camp Neu.

If Chelsea score more than once then Barca are going out; tru fax!

I don't think the Chavs have got more than one goal in them - at least not in the style of play that they're following at the moment.

Barca always miss chances - it's just they usually score more than zero as well. That's the way they play - create a lot of chances and put a few of them away. Problem for them was their chances fell to seemingly the wrong players at Stamford Bridge. Plus Messi looked quite shaken by the fact he lost the ball and Drogba scored; his expression reminded me of Clark Kent when he was turned human and saw his own blood for the first time.

Anyway, I still expect Barca to go through but the invincibility that seemed to surround them after Messi scored 5 in one game has been eroded by their last 3 matches in Europe. I reckon Madrid and Bayern will both fancy their chances if they make it through.

Personally, I think if they can nick just one, they'll get through.

As much as I hate the cunts, I don't really give a shit if they get to the final. It might give them an incentive to be more relaxed about the FA Cup.

I've got a bad feeling that if they were to somehow make the final they'd probably win it; that would irritate me on three counts:

1) I absolutely can't stand the idea of such plastic, phony fans celebrating such a sham of a club winning Europes greatest trophy.
2) I don't want to see Torres getting a CL medal...... even if he never gets off the bench.
3) I despise that fake club and it's fake fans and everything it stands for in football.

We forget that Barca have been very ordinary away from home this season, by their standards.

At home, they've been absolutly brilliant. And I cant see Chelsea lasting 90 mins with a defensive set up. The pitch is larger, the ball will move faster and they'll be stretched all over the place.

Chelseas only chance will be set pieces I reckon.
