[article]Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has been warned by Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman about his future.

The centre-back is not enjoying the best of seasons for his club, while he was below par at the World Cup as well.

Koeman, who took over from Louis van Gaal after the winter tournament as the Dutch coach, has warned Van Dijk he must find his top level soon.

Koeman told Studio Voetbal: "Still, but it [Van Dijk] will have to be better. We are well endowed with central defenders."

He added: "Of course he got injured. A knee injury, a muscle injury and then a World Cup played in November, but I think his lesser form also has to do with the team he plays in.

“Liverpool was known for putting pressure and winning balls in midfield, so Virgil also got into less trouble. The chance of mistakes has now become many times greater.

"Of course he [Van Basten] is allowed to criticise. I also have that on Virgil. I have always said to Virgil: 'You should always assume that the player next to you makes a mistake'. Then you have to look: am I good? Good at the situation? Sometimes he just has to enter the game much harder and shorter, but then he keeps his position too much. I also discuss that with Virgil."[/article]

Lots of options out there worth taking a punt on that would be within our budget,

Flavius Daniliuc
Victor Nelsson
Arthur Theate
Facundo Medina
Attila Szalai
Alessandro Bastoni

We don't have the 70mills of this world to spend on someone like KIM or Araujo's of this world.

Klopp really wasn’t lying when he said we’d be disappointed.

Gravenburch Phillips Mount and Schuurs.

Which side of central midfield does Gravenbech normally play - right or left - like is he best suited to the Thiago left-mid role?

I feel like, if the plan is to move Trent into midfield - then Mount & Mac Allister make most sense (assuming Mac Allister is going to play a holding role).

If Trent is going to still play as a “nominal” RB then Gravenberch (if he plays more on the right) makes more sense than Mount.

Maybe.

That South Korea CB playing in Italy seems to be highly rated. Asian CBs are never know to be any good, until now.

Anyone seen him play? As the saying goes, the jersey sales will make up what we pay for him and all that. I guess if he costs 60m or so it wouldn't but well..

Anyone seen him play?
Surely all of us? We were in the same group as them 6 months ago.....Watched pretty much every World Cup game too as I'm sure many others did....& yeah he's 1 of the best CB's in Europe at the minute.

On paper - assuming they don't flop - we'd be sorted with those two.

Gives Fabinho and Bajcetic another season to see what's what.

You want to trust Fabinho another season? He has been decent the last few games but with his rate of physical deterioration, I am not sure we can depend on him. we are stuck with him and his 180k per week contract for another three years. I guess we can use him sparingly and in specific situations but that will require another CM.

We already have a massive gaping hole in our midfield for someone like Jude to occupy.

We don't have to do anything other than getting these skint owners to SHOW THEM DA MONNNEEEEEEEY
