If Pacheco can show this kind of attitude again, I feel he's going to play himself into Rodgers first team plans. He's put in a real shift today, almost Dirk like, albeit with not a huge amount of influence. That said, he has an excellent touch and definite footballing intelligence. It'll be interesting to see how he goes from here. I'd love to see him get a goal.
He's obviously a player who had that extra ability at youth level, but not enough for him to truly shine at a higher level. And in the absence of any actual physical gifts, we've had a player who's really struggled to make any sort of impression in the last 2 years of his knocking on first team football. The only way he's going to cut it at this level is by being the sort of player he's been today - someone who can work his socks off. If he can get to add some end product, which he clearly does have he ability to, we could have a pretty interesting player.
