Pearce then redknapp surely.
Even the English FA wouldn't be daft enough to let Stuart Pearce take charge of the national side in a major tournament

Pearce would be such an awful choice. Watching the U-21s is just horrible.

Redknapp will surley get it. Maybe doing both jobs until the end of the season and then England from May. He's the obvious choice imho.
Spurs will sink as a stone when he leaves though.

I'd be embarrassed for Rafa if Redknapp got this job ahead of him.
Very.
Phooey. It's the worst kept "secret" in football that the FA will insist on appointing an Englishman this time around.

In fairness to Pearce, I'd bet a decent sum he'd turn the job down even if it were offered to him. He'd know he's not anywhere near ready.

Isn’t this the second time an Italian has abandoned a sinking ship? #AnfieldCatForEngland

Ross is trolling.

I'm surprised you can't tell.

If Redknapp gets it means they've gone from a man who can't speak English to a man who can't write English.

I wonder who could follow that

I'm so happy. I hated capello as England manager and I'm desperate for spurs to derail. This is what many call a 'Win/Win'

Make it happen FA. Please.

He's never sent a text either so he won't be able to send em to the lads to pick them in the squad :-\

"English FA insulted me, damaged my authority. I was forced into this decision."

Capello (allegedly)

*rubs face*

Could this be the beginning of the end of big brave John Terry's England career?

Afterall Capello's been sacked(or resigned) because of him?

Nah, he'll be the next manager.
 with Joey Barton as his assistant. No point stopping the comedy show just yet.

"We need someone (Harry) with an English sense of humour" - Neil Warnock.

I hope the press are laughing when England continue to win fuck all.

It's clear that 'Arry is the obvious choice. He wants it as well. The FA want an Englishmen. His name has been touted for months and he has never denied it. What would be interesting is whenhe takes it. Probably what will happen is that he will be appointed with an interim manager in place for the next couple of games (Pearce) What is absolute certain is that the FA will fudge the appointment. Several peoples noses will be put out of joint (probably Levy's) Also if 'Arry accepts before the end of the season it will definitely unsettle their players. All of which is good for the redmen 8) As LadyRed said - A 'Win win"

Claridge and Warnock.

Fuck me what is wrong with them pair of clowns.

What theu won a cup between them?

Credit to Fabio. Fuck the FA and fuck the England national team.

I would say the only negative to Harry taking the job is that after Spurs tank, the media will use that as another excuse to talk about how great and vital he was to them.

But he won;t have any success for England so I can live with it.

Spurs are going to tank regardless of whether he stays or not. (Not this season, but quite soon)
