i'd be amazed if rafa came back. i'd love it to happen, though, because it was sheer madness to sack him in the first place, and i don't think there's anyone better out there, and i'd enjoy seeing his detractors suffer and the conflict it'd create in our fanbase.

My understanding is that poster B is saying that it's been a year and a half after Rafa left and we haven't really improved the squad.
It's mainly Rafa's old squad we rely on and I agree.

The fact that we're still calling for Maxi to play and I personally am calling for Aurelio to play in the middle kinda nullifies the past few signings we've made bar Enrique and Suarez of course. Oh and Bellamy as well but like I said before, I still regard him as a back up.

To be fair after the last few games most of the complaints haven't been directed at:
Reina, Agger, Skrtel, Johnson, Maxi and Gerrard.
Kuyt however.

Yeah multiple threads have been started about the "other" players.
People criticising Lucas, Reina and to some extent Skrtel have lost their marbles.
I only had something to say about Skrtel during the city game. Otherwise I think he's been brilliant.

I kinda agree and I basically said the same during the summer when people were telling me that we had to be realistic.

[/quote]I never said it makes fuck all difference. Thats like saying wages make fuck all difference. Of course it matters, but it isnt the be all and end all that people make it out to be.
Fans often suggest it as a reason simply because they believe players when players say 'Im leaving to play champions league' but thats simply because players know it would be frowned upon to say 'Im leaving because X club will pay me more'
There are exceptions of course. But in the main part FANS use the excuse for players to sign or not to sign far more than is realistic.
